Arrived at NE gate Wednesday at about 5:30 just as the gate was opened.
Landed a sweet corner spot right under the Pod 2 balloon in the new Camp Bobby Brown.
I'm certain this area was just woods last year. It seemed they cleared most of the trees out but left a few that really helped keep things cool in the mornings and evenings.
Only negative comment was that they didn't clear the site well enough. My gf and I tripped on or stepped on at least four strips of barb-wire more than a foot long hidden in the grass. (We made sure to throw it out whenever we found any.)
Hey, We must right next to each other; my sister and I were underneath the tree the balloon was tied it.
The tree itself was MUCH appreciated. The random holes in the ground were not, though I didn't see any barbed wire.
We were so damn far away in Camp Cleveland Brown on the far side of Pod 11. It was a hike just down to the showers, ice & tents in our pod area.
The good things about it was we were left alone out there, no dust, great people, tons of space - we had a kick ass camp, it was easy to get out when we needed. We had some houses right there that started selling us ice cheaper and showers - all we had to do was slip through the fence.
The only bad thing was the walk. We walked in one time and after that we paid for a taxi every time. It was worth that $20 a day my husband and I spent on it. I'd do it again in a heartbeat.
Clark Griswold. The walk sucked...made it impractical to return to camp in the middle of the day or before LN. We packed in the am, went in, and returned in the wee hours. on the plus side, our tent and truck wasn't covered in a half inch thick layer of dust like many closer in.

Landed Camp Adrien 2 minute walk from the arch. A couple tents back from the music tent that went on all day and night. I think I was the only one that enjoyed it.
we were in a RV this year and got in the line around 9-10pm wednesday and got in Bobby Brown then I told my friend who was camping to get in line right before we got on bushy branch and he ended up in Marty Mcfly and we were prob. in line for an hour
I was way the eff out in Pod 10, camp Ophelia. Corner of Pete Rose & Walnut. Quite a walk, but it never got so bad that I needed a taxi.
We were right on your block. It was a real haul walking in and I got some of the biggest blisters you've ever seen. Paid a visit to the medic at the Pod tent and even HE said he'd never see any like that. We took taxis from that point on so that I'd be able to walk around in Centeroo. (Roger Podacter 2010, Darth Vader 2009, Hansel 2008 - seems like we get further every year no matter when we show up.)
Marcellus Wallace. It sucked mostly because almost all of the shows I wanted to see during the day were at the stages. The only day I double-tripped (no pun intended) was to see Black Joe Lewis. Edit: Taxis are great!

Camp Pu*sy Galore. Holy Leno is that a far walk. Not sure why I didn't pay for the taxi ride back Saturday night, my feet will hate me forever because of that.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.

Looks like my group was parked right over there. The people who gave ice from their houses were so nice. They would fill up your camelback, grabbed ice for you, and hopped it over the fence for $5 each. Nice folks. And it was fun walking past Shakedown and the famous Grilled cheese sammiches, every day.
The walk was brutal on hot days, i was told it was two miles to Centeroo. With all the rocks out there, your feet started to hate you on Sunday. Getting split up also was annoying. Along that walk though, it offered the best of the non-Centeroo experience. (Drum circles, fire dancers, great vendors, glass alley)

Ha, lady-flower Galore sounds so much funnier.
Not even the farthest walk. The walk from Pod 11 was so far, the pod didn't even exist last year! I would love to go for Pu*sy Galore any day of the week.
Camp Peter Griffin. Having no dust issues was great but the walk sucked.
I think this is where we got stuck too, it was nice having less dust and we were up against the treeline rather than surrounded by 360 degrees of humanity. We were right behind (west) of the big house that's all fenced in up there
it's so hard to forget pain, but it's even harder to remember sweetness. we have no scars to show for happiness. we learn so little from peace. -chuck palahniuk
The geo-dome looked awesome! What was the set-up and take down time on that?
Those Pod 11 sites looked super far from Centeroo, and yeah, I don't think they were even there last year. I was in Camp King Jaffe Joller (Pod 10?) last year and even that was a trek. I think I was in and out twice a day, once in the evening via cab.
From what I've read about theft it seems like a lot occurred up in these distant pods, or camp only.
Was there really a hole in the fence that possibly could have invited some local thieves in? I thought the fence lines had some sort of patrol.

Peter Griffith in the back it was a 2 mile walk to Centeroo from one of my friends that had more money for the taxi. Seriously if you are that far back they should have a hay ride or something so people can go to centeroo easier not everyone has money to blow on the golf carts. And I am sure if you nailed down the locations of people that had heat exhaustion and or deaths vs distances walked from Centeroo there would be a high correlation. I missed a couple of shows because of this. Still had fun but parts of the day were miserable!

camp boba fett. camped literally on/in 1st street due to parking volunteer error.
funny when the mounties tried telling us to move the tents out of the street when there were already 3 rows of cars and their tents lined up behind us.
We were so damn far away in Camp Cleveland Brown on the far side of Pod 11. It was a hike just down to the showers, ice & tents in our pod area.
We (me, Jury, and our Cheyenne) were in Clevland Brown as well! Literally right near the corner of Hidden Glenn and Houston. We were only two cars away from the road on like either side.
That damn walk can bite me. I would have killed to have been in 007 over this. My dogs are still barkin'! That walk was killer! If I can go next year I think I'ma just do Camp Inforoo!
And I agree with Lono. If you're put out that far at least give out like two tickets/coupons fer free taxi rides or somethin'. Paid fer my first taxi ride this year, but I honestly didn't feel it was worth it. Plus they're so damn hard to get a hold of!

That one cab ride we got with the twin was pretty cool though. Boombox attached to the front with an ipod attachment. Playing Pretty Lights on the way to Centeroo. It was kinda pimpin.
Getting a hold of those things to camp sucked. It seemed alot of cab drivers were reluctant to go to Pod 11.
