My first Bonnaroo. My wife and I went.. and thanks to the great people on inforoo, we were very well prepared for what to expect. We stayed in a hotel Wednesday night, and hit the line at about 930am on Thursday. We waited in line about an hour and we were set up at camp Luke Skywalker but about 1130am. It was hot, it was dusty.. my wife almost passed out while watching Bruce Hornsby and then Amos Lee at the sonic stage in direct sun.. (She is fine) but it was great! I think they could improve some things (mostly the water and porta potty issue... but it was still great for our first time.. they can't change the weather.
Next year we will certainly be going VIP.. or maybe renting an RV for the weekend.. If i'm up and in centeroo until 330 or 4am, i need to be able to sleep past 830-9am (Even with shade tarps set up) that would have made my weekend better.

Omg where to start? The first day and part of the second I was a complainer. Not much interested me on the schedule but milling about I found some great bands I wouldn't have normally listened to. I thought I was going to a music festival but really it was a people festival with great music as the soundtrack. These are some of my fav parts.
Hulahoop girls! A girl with long brown hair and a ramones tshirt in a shirt at the Primus concert. You stared about 10 yards away and by the time I was good and into the concert you had moved to be right infront of me. My own personal show! Also the girl who smiles with her eyes in the black bikini top and black shorts at Superjam. All the girls with the glowing ones a the night shows were super cool. I'm inspired to learn how to hula after this year.
I didn't meet nearly as many people as I would have liked. We couldn't find the brunch and the youthfulness of the crowd intimdated me but I met a few cool people exp Franklin at the Primus show and Meadow who gave me water and a bellydancing lesson in the middle of Ray Lamontange. Thanks to the tall people who let me stand infront of them and the ppl with water misters <3
I wish I would have gotten up closer to see some of my fav bands but they were packed so I sat back on the grass. I did get to see Aunt Martha twice with very small audiences and they were great. I'm grateful to get exposed to new music.
The people who put on a show for other Rooers like the paper lanterns at WSP, the costumes people wore, the pretty guys and girls in hardly any clothing, painted and tatted people, glowstick throwers, and dancers.
I had a great time and I'm looking forward to next year.

Signed. Fucking loved just about everything I saw, with the exception of Weezy. Also had a lot of fun hangin' with various inforoosters throughout the weekend: Lerxst, AWATD, NoD, Airline, Zapp, baconus, etc.: hope to see all you guys again next year.
9th Bonnaroo (missed 05 because my darn sister had to go and graduate from college the same weekend) and this was honestly one of my top years. Absolutely NO line on thursday to get into the campgrounds, fantastic camping spot in Access with lots of room, some of my very favorite bands playing, and first time ever trying to get into pit which resulted in my dancing my ass off to MMJ. This was also my first time without any "enhancements" to my entertainment save for a couple of alcoholic beverages and I was a little worried I wouldn't have as much fun. Ended up being a ridiculous worry. I miss Roo already!
First time this year, and I thought it was amazing. The wait to get in was maybe 45 minutes, I got parked right by the road in Pod 7, which was at most a 15 minute walk to Centeroo....which was awesome and totally do-able a couple times a day. I had amazing neighbors, I was right by the bathrooms (which were disgusting, but what I expected). There was never one point this whole weekend when I felt sick or close to being sick...I was constantly putting on sunblock and alternating between water and gatorade. When I wasn't watching a show, I was in the shade. My boyfriend is diabetic, and we were never questioned getting into Centeroo about his insulin or kit. It was hot, but the breeze was almost always there and amazing. I thought it was great, and I don't think there is much else Bonnaroo can do to make it safer or better. It's up to us to take care of ourselves.
Just another fantastic time! Third time for me and 4th for my son and we both agreed this was up there with the best. Great music, great people, a little on the warm side again but we might as well get used to it because global warming is coming and nobody is doing a damn thing about it. Bonnaroo wouldn't be what it is without all of the people who go, so thanks to all of you for making it so great!
