I lost my iphone in a porta-potty after RHCP and was freaking out. It put me in such a crappy mood that I thought the weekend was ruined.
As I sulked with my friends on the Silent Disco line a kid on line in front of us asked if I wanted to use his phone to call mine. I called it and I couldn't believe it when a girl answered and agreed to come find me and return it. She showed up within two minutes. I wanted to ask her name but I think we were both a little "out of it" so I never did. Even though I didn't catch her name I was so thankful that she and the kid who let me use his phone were there and that I got my phone back so quickly and easily, saving my weekend.
Hunter from Johnson City! you're the man. we hung out fri night until we left FlyLo to go see Big Freedia. hope you enjoyed the rest of your weekend. I've been digging into the Richmond bands you recommended. good stuff!

The moment we made eye contact, you asked me what I wanted. Sadly, my response was nowhere near as bold as your question. So many possiblities: to wrap you in my arms, to hold you close while we danced, to gently kiss your neck, to undress you slowly and use an ice cube between my teeth to help counteract the Tennessee heat. All those thoughts crossed my mind. But the people behind me in line were getting impatient, so I stammered out "Sierra Nevada Pale Ale." I left a tip and knew I'd be back. But I also knew that that magic moment had passed and was gone forever.

To the rock & roll girl at The War on Drugs. You were the one with The Who cutoff t-shirt and the cross hanging from your right ear. The music was the perfect abyss for my Sunday frayed psyche to fall into. I was giggly/weepy/horny and fell madly in love with you to that music. I waited for you in the back when it was done to tell you how beautiful you are, but you pressed in closer for the next show. Please come back next year.

Alright, So for the sake of the rest of the heart-stricken bastards out there such as myself who've found momentary love at Bonnaroo through out the years and lost it to the fates. I, a lurker or would be so-titled-by-the-boards, am posting my missed connection to A) foolishly/selfishly/hopelessly find my own missed connection, but to also B) keep the thread toward the top of the page, in hopes all you other serious Casanova's/Amelie's out there find the other half of your Bonna-Romance. So here it is:
Your name was Symone or Simone (I apologize, Im terrible at spelling), You were from California (I was from Florida), we met at the Phantogram show on thursday night, you had dark hair and were wearing a dark-colored or black dress/ long skirt.. We were on the right side of the other tent. You we're there with friend and I had just left my group to get closer to the show. You caught my attention immediately, and I knew you noticed me too. We were separated for a brief moment, but managed to get close again, then you turned around and introduced yourself, you we're even sweet enough to assume I had a girlfriend even though I didn't . We danced through out the show (Regardless of the fact that I'm a terrible dancer) and you gave me the most glorious, euphoric, well-timed back and shoulder massage I've ever been lucky enough to receive, during which I knew it had become the best-by-far thursday night I've had in all my four Bonnayears of attendance. I kissed you during "Don't Move" and since, I don't remember much else until "When I'm Small" ended the set.. You went to say goodbye, but we both just stood there. Neither of us wanted it to end. You said you couldn't pass up meeting up again for Radiohead, I gave you my number, but my phone was either off or couldn't get a signal all that Friday, I'm not even sure if you ever called, but it didn't stop me from desperately trying to check my phone every half hour, or kicking myself the whole weekend for not getting your info too..
So If you're out there, or any one else knows who she is, I would really love to know.. But, if it was just a momentary Bonnaromance, then I hope you had an amazing rest of your weekend, and thank you for making my weekend that much better. Only I know the hopeless romantic in me would kick myself for far-too-long knowing I hadn't at least attempted to figure out who this amazing girl was. I suppose, if anyone has any info.. or you, Simone/Symone actually read this and would want to know me as more than the cute guy/awful dancer you danced with at Phatogram, PM me..
- Michael, The guy who would've loved to have spent his first Radiohead show and favorite Friday, Saturday, & Sunday of the year with the beautiful and mysterious Californian girl who stole his heart..
Also: It may seem futile or ridiculous sometimes, but I hope everyone else keeps this thread alive with some sincerity. I was lucky enough to stumble across one couple getting married this year, which made me see once again that Bonnaroo is truly one of the most sensational events I've ever been fortunate enough to be a part of, and regardless of changes in crowd or musical genre's represented, it always seems to inspire love in some form, whether it's friendships or romances, that idea has kept me wanting to come back year after year.. More or less just wanna thank all of ya'll Roo'ers and InfoRoo'ers alike for that.. I really do hope everyone else find who their looking for!

i just took a blind picture of the crowed behind me and she showed up as i turned around to see her she was gone if any one knows her please let her know that i thought she was the most beautiful thing i've ever seen
Not really a missed connection, but looking for our neighbors. We were camped in Pod 2. You are Jimmy and Keith. I think you guys were from Massachusetts.
We were the loud ass drunks that hung out every night after the shows. I think you played beer pong with some of our camp during one of the afternoons and shot gunned beers to our friend "Pukey."
This goes out to Genevieve from DC who finished her first year in medical school. We met @ Flying Lotus friday, halfway through the show we noticed each other and started dancing! We then spent the next few hours @ Silent Disco dancing our rolling hearts off . The next day by some miracle we met up!! You asked for my number but I lost my phone the night before so I never gave it to you (such a mistake, I ended up finding my phone in LOst & Found the next day) We said we'd find each other at Skrillex but we never did :/...... Whew at least I can say I tried
You're just too young to grasp how stylin' I really was. All the boys wanted to do me when I was 5. Actually the girls did too. My haircut was confusing.

Hey all! Sooooooo, I was looking for Matt from IN. I made flyers to send with my neighbors to Electric Forest. I doubted I'd find him, but I knew I had to try! Well, turns out that my search for Matt led me to meet my very awesome neighbors who live right behind me and also went to Roo! They are some of the coolest people I have ever met and have become great friends!! I knew I had to look for Matt...I just didn't know it'd be so that I meet someone else! Go Bonnaroo!
Sam, While I am not him, I think I saw the guy with the old fashioned film camera. one of those top down ones right?
Yeah. Lighter hair, khaki pants. I remember because I thought he looked pretty snazzy. Where/who ever he is, he has a photo of my head on his camera now.
It would be nice to find him. But... Que sera sera.
Pretty sure you are describing my friend Jonathan. jpurvis.com/
I don't have many details that i remember, but i'll give it a shot. I met a guy near the portos from Which>What (I'm pretty sure this was Friday around 5 or 6 o clock.). I was waiting for my boyfriend to finish and come out when you walked up to me smiling, wearing sunglasses with medium length dirty blonde hair holding a beer in each hand. You asked if I was having fun and if i was excited to see Radiohead. We talked and somewhat danced as we stood. You were just super nice and it'd be awesome to talk to you again!!

My name is Marla. I met some nice people while at 'Roo last year (2012). The first guy's nickname was Jag, after Jagermeister, the alcohol. He was a volunteer at 'Roo. I feel really bad. My cell phone died before I could grab all of my info off of it from the people I met while there. He was very kind and generous, and I felt bad for losing contact. I should have kept more in contact to thank him.
Also, I met another person named Omree, who was very kind in helping me lug my overabundance of luggage to Tent Only.
It was nothing romantic, but I just want to thank both of these people for all their help and their kindness; to make sure that they know that their kindness and generosity were very much appreciated.
I love this thread.... unfortunately, I do not have a missed roo connection yet!
Well, you have an assignment for this year.
I also love this thread and also don't really have a missed connection...or I have hundreds of missed connections.
I feel like every year I fall in love for a few minutes or a few hours or days and that's what makes bonnaroo magical.
I don't always regret not getting their contact info because let's say I did and two or three months after roo I found out they hated puppies and kittens, that would tarnish my memory of that moment with them
It's nice dancing with a stranger and letting it just be that.
That being said the only one I sort of regret was a boy in a band. I don't even remember where he was from or his name, its been so many years. He drew me a picture of a super hero and I still have it. His name is on it. Maybe even his bands name...but it's in boy handwriting, which we all know is illegible. He was great.
You should make a connection this year, just don't let it be a missed one

you were female, early twenties, very attractive. i didnt get your name or number but i really wanted to. we might have shared a brief intoxicated conversation. there was about 10,000 of you.
Melanie from Illinois. We met at Paul this year, you and your friend sat down by my friends and me. We talked for a little while and you were beautiful. You wanted to move up further, but I didn't want to leave my friends, (I did that last in 2011). Anyway I felt a strong connection with you and I think you did as well. You left, but before that we hugged it was great! I did not have my phone so I gave you my buddies number. I regret not moving up with you! This is a long shot, but message me, I would love to talk to you again.

To the girl who volunteered for her ticket, and ended up next to me at the Vaccines despite having no idea who they were, you were super cool and cute, and I'm glad you got such a kick out of how into the show I was. Sorry I didn't get to see you again, but I hope you had a great festival.
The blue eyed cute guy waiting in line behind me for The National pit, I can't believe I never got your name. I totally thought I would see you after the show. You were wearing a red and white scarf and walking around with your friend who had a game of thrones flag. I know you're from Chicago and went to Notre Dame so I hope you or someone you know sees this!
To the pretty little 20 year old brunette at the Jazzy Jeff Super Jam. The taste of sweat on your lips, the warmth of your hugs and your hair getting stuck in my unshaven face, I miss that connection. I was drunk off tequila and couldn't remember your name as hard as I desperately tried. You made my bonnaroo. Take care.

During Empire of the Sun I had a orange, pink, and blue sea horse noodle. You were about 6'1 tall good looking with mustache and plaid shirt. Your friend asked me about my orientation and I told her I go with the flow. You got close to me at the end but the show ended. You were a really good looking guy. If you see this hit me back
