Since I've been back my sinuses have been crazy I'm guessing from all the dust I inhaled and I've also got bumps on my arms and legs. Not sure whats going on. I thought about using a netipot but I didn't know if that would make things worse. Any tips on dealing with issues postroo?
Last year I came back sick for 2 weeks. I had a really bad sinus infection, a fever for a week, and a small case of bronchitis. If your sinuses don't get better soon I would see a doctor
sounds like you got similar problems as me I have a rash and sinus problems, the two are unrelated to each other, but i'm pretty sure each will go away. I feel like each is getting better quickly for me.

It will definitely not hurt to irrigate your sinuses, and will probably help. Take an OTC such as Mucinex or the generic equivalent for a few days as well. Drink lots and lots of fluids. I had Roo-monia after the dust in 07 and kept my face covered as much as possible this year. Except for a bit of a sore throat I'm feeling pretty well this year. Thankfully.
my husband is a hot mess. coughing like crazy, still can't breathe thru his nose, and is whiney as all hell told him that bonnaroo just isn't ready to let him go yet. hahaha

I had the Bonnarash on the farm but it cleared up by Sunday. Only seemed to have a problem at This Tent for some reason.
I thought I handled the dust pretty well but I too started feeling sick yesterday. Shit dripping down the back of my throat and sinus problems... I hear the same thing happened to a lot of people at Dustaroo '07 - I think they called it Bonnaflu - so it's probably the same deal this year.
I bet the Netti Pot would help a bit, but if it doesn't go away or subside in a few days, see a doctor because you may have a sinus infection and you'll want to get on antibiotics. That's my plan anyway. Feel better!

I've been waging an all-out war on the invading Bonnaflu since Monday, but to no avail. Today I'll wave the white flag of surrender at the doc's office. Ugh. Damn dust & dirt!
Now on next year's 'Roo packing list: surgical masks.
I get sick every year after Bonnaroo. I think I'm allergic to smoke or something. I'm a non-smoker and I don't have any friends that smoke so I'm never exposed to it except at Bonnaroo. Combined with the dust and the humidity, it's no wonder I'm feeling miserable. Last year, I had a cough for two weeks that turned into bronchitis. This year, my sinuses are completely blocked. I can't breathe, I'm coughing up a lung and I feel miserable. I hope it doesn't turn into something more serious. I hate going to the doctor. I'm skipping Roo next year - one of the reasons is that I'm sick of getting sick every year.

I have a rash all over my legs. This morning I took an oatmeal bath, hoping to help it. There are little bumps that itch, but not too terribly. It's so hot! I want to wear shorts, but can't shave my legs. I am off camping at the lake this weekend. How can I get rid of it?
I think it was caused by the Roo Goo I accumulated over the event. I scrub and moisturize, but it's still there!

Hahaha I suppose I could be worse off with a grassyvag. I've exfoliated my arms and put lots of lotion on and it seems to be going away some what. My ear nose and throat are still a mess. I was wondering why everyone was wearing the masks, just figured they didn't want dust buggers but now I know why and I'll bring one with for next year.
I didn't have much issues with the dust and felt fine physically (other than being tired) but I woke up with a wicked sore throat today. Not sure if it is related or just coincidence and I'm coming down with a cold or something?
All this talk of bronchitis, upper respiratory infections, etc makes me nervous... I've had sniffles, cough, and occasional sneezing for a week now at least (I went down to TN early for volunteering). I haven't had a fever or anything. I had a headache 1 night, I think, but I figured it was from wearing contacts and I didnt have issues with it after (and I'm giving my eyes a break for a few days now)
I dont have health insurance yet (but mom is in the works of gettin a new job that'd cover me real soon) and hoping keeping hydrated and giving it some time will help it get better...and plenty of rest.
No rash here, but rocking the sinus issues as well. No fun.
I'm starting a full-on attack after work this evening. Mucinex, increased fluid intake, neti pot, vit c just in case it is a cold. I'm convinced it was the dust, but I suppose it could be allergies. I had JUST kicked a nasty summer cold the day before we left for Roo.
Used a netipot when I got home. Didn't help. Had to fly yesterday and the sinus pain had me in tears on the plane. Definitely have a sinus infection. Thank you Roo!
you are more susceptible to any type of illness after several days of insufficient sleep and testing your limits of endurance. In essence, your reserves are shot.
for all of you with continued sinus problems, please use a neti pot or sinus irrigation device. NeilMed makes good ones. Next year I will bring a bunch and hand them out as the company sends me a box of promo ones every few months. it is totally safe to use and helpful.
Continue aggressive hydration and take vitamins. Echinacea tincture or tea is good to use to beef up the immune system as well. Celestial seasonings makes a good "wellness tea" that has echinacea and menthol. At my house we swear by it at the first sign of respiratory illness.
next year, masks are a good idea. I'll try to tuck away a box or two between now and then and give them out along with sinus irrigation kits.

this year the dust was out of control - I am in the middle of a cougharoo, got the nostrils going, and running to the bathroom after every meal. I'm hoping my body will right itself any day now.....

Yeah, my wife and I are pretty much in the same position as everyone here with the sinuses. My head feels clogged as a whole, and my ears vary on which one feels like hearing and which one doesn't... Blowing my nose every 2-3 minutes and getting dirt still coming up. Every time I cough I can taste dust/dirt, and I've got splitting headaches from coughing so much. I wish the time after Roo only hurt because I wasn't there anymore, not physically!
Stuffy nose and head, horrible cough, and when I first got back I slept for an entire day. Going to try Mucinex. I don't remember feeling this crappy after last year's Roo, and I partied a ton less this year. I really think the dust had a lot to do with it.
No pharmacists that I know. I was thinking if it continues for another week then I will go to the Minute Clinic in CVS and ask for something prescription strength....
