tDB (The Disco Biscuits) have been playing bonnaroo every other year since the beginning. They should def. be a shoe in for a latenight (probably the last band playing) next year. w/ that being said..
Daft Punk - What Stage, Saturday
Friday
TMV/Primus - Which Stage Big Gigantic > The Disco Biscuits - That Tent Massive Attack > Portishead - This Tent Les Claypool's Flying Frog Brigade > Gov't Mule - The Other Tent
Saturday
TAB/Oysterhead - Which Stage Lotus > Umphrey's McGee - That Tent Benny Benassi > Armin Van Buuren > Moonbeam - This Tent Modest Mouse > Sonic Youth - The Other Tent
I agree with Laggy. Also why would you say that Portishead and Massive Attack are unlikely? If they are touring, which is within the realm of possibilities, then I would say that they are quite likely to at least be considered/ contacted.
Want to believe this, but can't bring myself too, I feel like Roo doesn't find those two to be the festival carriers that a lot of us do.
I'm tryin to think of LN Which acts and can't really think of many that would be possible.
The Flips (probably not but Roo is not afraid to book back soon) Massive Attack (unlikely) Portishead (unlikely) The Roots ( I see this happening) Daft Punk (unlikely and would be on What) Ratdog (possible if Furthur is not touring) Animal Collective (Which or This Tent? IDK but possible) Widespread Panic (maybe but again really?, never had Which LN tho) MMJ (I wouldn't complain but unlikely) Allman Brothers (they could play for 4 hours I they wanted to) Wilco (more pre headlining act) Chemical Brothers (dnot know how possible this would be) Queens of the Stone Age (possible I guess and would be a huge get for the festival IMO) Modest Mouse (if they drop new album)
Probably left some acts off but most of the acts I consider LN Which worthy don't seem like they would happen. I bet we do get The Roots though and something totally out of left field which could be awful or great
There are a shit-ton of bands that could do LN Which. I think the range of possible bands is pretty vast, probably 10x more so than who could headline. This is by no means any extensive list, but just to add to your list: A perfect circle Umphrees mcgee Deadmau5 Prodigy Underworld Black Eyed Peas (this isn't a wishlist, just sayin) Wu-tang Ludacris Snoop further or any dead member Trey Anastasio band Death Cab for Cutie Phoenix Passion Pit Rush
And that's just off the top of my head
And I'm not saying any are likely or obvious LN Which slots, but they're all possible
I agree with Laggy that the list is huge. I'll add Bloc Party (if they are touring), Black Keys (probably not happening this year), Gorillaz (they could be too big), Justice (pretty possible), and 3 6 Mafia (maybe a tent, but idk- they did win an Oscar) as possibilities. That's just what jumped into my head. Also, no way that Passion Pit is that big.

The Glitch Mob's new tour setup is designed by Martin Phillips and John McGuire. That's the team behind Daft Punk's pyramid, Kanye's copycat version, and other amazingness for Nine Inch Nails.
By the way, I second battles. That would be an awesome latenight
Battles were one of the highlights of what I consider to be the best Thursday Roo has ever put on - they have my vote for a return. Unfortunately, I think they'd probably get stuck with an early afternoon Which spot or late afternoon in a tent.
Alice Cooper and Rob Zombie Rush Iron Maiden Levon Helm's Midnight Ramble Todd Snider's Rock and Roll Review (He did this at the Americanafest and about half of Nashville's Americana population showed to sit in with him. Billed or not, this would end up being the Superjam) Tedeschi/Trucks Band
Todd Snider's Rock and Roll Review (He did this at the Americanafest and about half of Nashville's Americana population showed to sit in with him. Billed or not, this would end up being the Superjam)
Lamb of God would be a good band for a late night set..last time that I saw them they absolutly shedded. Kind of like GWAR and Mastodon in previous years. Its always fun to raise a little hell.

^hahaha I hate that the name LFO will forever be associated with that group. Theyre so riduculously terrible they make the backstreet boys look like the beatles
The REAL LFO (british Idm producer) would be an awesome roo latenight
