Little Dragon was the illness cancellation, right? If so, I'm sure they'd be more than willing to sign up just to make up for it. I'm sure they wouldn't mind the exposure of playing at Bonnaroo either.

Supposed. I have a feeling it was more due the weather and someone not feeling "well". They played earlier in the day and played DC the next night. I think they were bummed about playing outside in the rain, personally.
Tons of good ideas in here. The EMA and Davila 666 suggestions are great. If I had to pick a few Thursday acts:
Girls Wild Flag Surfer Blood Cults Real Estate The War on Drugz or Kurt Vile The Weeknd (Just announced they are having band auditions, so a tour is coming) Thee Oh Sees Alabama Shakes
There are so many possibilities. Thursday could really rock this year.

They need to play Thursday night.
Yes I would like some Little Dragon on Thursday night.
I would also like Phantogram, Tame Impala, Gary Clark Jr, and Zola Jesus.
And if it's not asking too much, I would like them all to work with no conflicts between 4pm-1am ;D
I saw it already mentioned and I second a Gary Clark Jr. Thursday night appearance. For me, I think that would be a quacking great start to the weekend!
I love the idea but I think he's a little too big for Thursday night now. But I'd love Gary Clark Jr. on the farm again.

If I'm not mistaken they were scheduled to play in the Thomas Wolfe auditorium after St Vincent, not outside.
Not totally sure if any of these acts will be touring elsewhere during Bonnaroo but I would love to see: Fitz and The Tantrums Zola Jesus Gary Clark Jr. Surfer Blood The Naked and Famous Alabama Shakes

Then again, Sleigh Bells was doing pretty well for themselves last year and played Thursday. I'd expect a little more of a party vibe for the big Thursday band though. The Civil Wars are good, but they're not a party band.
Say what you'd like, this is my prediction for Thursday

That'd be great because I could spend all day at That Tent waiting for the Parlor Mob then go to the late night Other Tent sets
Big Gigantic I could see more in the Matt and Kim slot from last year. Or possibly the Robyn slot. They've received alot of love from fans touring non-stop over the past 2 yrs and have had some HUGE crowds and festivals as well as played to 10,000+ touring with PL. I believe they are too big. But then again Alabama Shakes are an MTV Artists to Know in '12 band. Guess we'll see
