Just to clarify Big Ghost Chronicles is not actually Ghostface. It irks me when people refer to him as the actually Ghostface Killah for some reason
Not sure if that was directed at me, or just a general comment, but I said "Ghostface", not "Ghostface Killah". I probably should have thrown the "Big" in there, though. But I'm aware they're not the same, it's just a hilarious blog and I read it in my head in Ghostface's voice, upping the hilarity.
Ghostface came out and publicly said it's not him, right?

It was just a general comment since the subject came up. I refer to Ghostface Killah as Ghostface, I guess that's where the irking comes in. Both Big Ghost and Ghostface have said they aren't the same person.
"I mean, Led Zeppelin didn't write tunes everybody liked. They left that to the Bee Gees." "this whole situation has just turned his whole life upside down face."
2012: RHCP, Phish, Beach Boys, Aziz, The Roots, Alice Cooper, Superjam, Blackstar, The Word, Luda, Flogging Molly, Spectrum Road, Umphrey's, Black Lips, Gary Clark Jr., Ivan Neville's Dumpstaphunk, Trampled By Turtles
No. I highly doubt that. They would be a decent festival draw, but not that huge of one. If they were late night, it would be in a tent. A daytime show would most likely be on a stage.
To be honest, Wu Tang as a whole group live isn't as great as it sounds. A big cluster with lots of inaudible screaming with a chance of mass tardiness. A Ghost, Rae, Meth & Red, or some combination of those would be the best.

It would seem that way even though Glasto is much bigger.
They would be a better group to be LN imo. Their show with that much heat would suck a lot of fun out if it.
As for Wu, just give me Meth, Raekwon the Chef, Ghostface Killah on the stage at the same time. I had a dream they did the 36 Chambers album in its entirety at Roo. God that would be awesome.
If Earl does in fact re-join the group in February/March (when he turns 18), then I'd want to at least check them out. He ups the "MC" factor in the group and his slow, melodic flow would help balance out the screaming...kind of.
On a more serious note, everyone that enjoys hip-hop do a long-time group a favor and buy their album. Not sure if anyone has heard about this or follows Kno on twitter, but Cunninlynguists might be forced to disband since NO ONE is buying their awesome albums. Their latest ("Oneirology") is fantastic, but no one bought it this year (I think they legitimately only sold 6 or 7 thousand copies).
Listen to "Enemies With Benefits (feat. Tonedeff)" and tell me why this band is going broke while effing Drake, Solja Boy and the rest of the skinny jean MC squad (using the term "MC" loosely, obviously) are doing bi-coastal tours. Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
When they come to NY they play small venues, so I've actually hung out with them twice (it was mostly because I was with very attractive white girls that the guys wanted to hang with, but whatever) after shows. They're genuinely cool dudes and they've never left me disappointed after a show.
I didn't mean they only play small venues, but they do play a lot of smaller venues. They played at the Knitting Factory (old location in Manhattan), which only holds a couple of hundred people. That's where I hung out with them after the show. That place is so small (their new Brooklyn location is even smaller). I also saw them at the 700-person capacity Highline Ballroom.
They were the headliner of a Hammerstein show? Or an opener?

Headliner. I know what you meant, I was just throwing my two cents in. I've been to the Knitting Factory and Highline. The Highline could be my favorite venue. Which Brooklyn venue? Williamsburgh?

Yeah, they moved to Metropolitan Ave. in BK. They can only hold like 300-400 people in there now.
Highline is where the Roots used to play those weekly shows every Tuesday, I believe right when they became the house band for Jimmy Fallon in 2009. Love that place.

Juggs, give us a list of who you think might show up this year. I remember last year you gave us your picks for who would show up based on trends and buzz and I think you ended up doing a decent job.
I would not mind seeing T.I, paper trail was a legit album with alot of hits. If he did a late night set and brought out Justin Timberlake people would get amped i think.

Nas is supposed to be dropping his new album in 2012. He has never done a solo set at Roo, and holy lord him in the spot Lil Wayne had on the Which Stage would be amazing.

Yeah, I'm sure JT is gonna travel to the middle of Tennessee for a one-off to sing My Love and Dead and Gone.
Now, if they got N*Sync back together... different story.
How is this not mentioned in this thread?! Cuz I know where I'm goin tonight.
