Also, does anyone else like "Staircase" and "The Daily Mail" better than a lot of the songs that made it onto the album? I wonder why they didn't make the cut, particularly "Staircase"?

Heading to St. Louis next Saturday and I can honestly say I don't think I've been more excited for a show then I am right now. I just wish the band felt better about Hail to the Thief because that's honestly one of my favorite albums.

"Hail to the Thief" is another one of those albums where several of the songs translate better live. I saw them on the Hail to the Thief tour, and they opened with "The Gloaming." It made for an awesome opener. You wouldn't have thought that from just listening to the studio version.
I've seen Radiohead three times, and I've never walked away feeling let down. Yes, they don't really jam, in an improvisational, jambandy kind of way, but in a live setting they add new textures to their songs. Jonny Greenwood, in particular, is someone to keep an eye on. He switches between instruments throughout the show, sometimes during the same song.
This. Jonny Greenwood is one of the greatest musicians of our generation and contributes more to the bands sound, especially live, than most give him credit for. Thom Yorke may be the focus of everyone's attention but Jonny Greenwood is the star of the show IMO.
Jonny Greenwood is to Thom Yorke as Steven Drozd is to Wayne Coyne the less noted MVPs
My favorite song from the TKOL era is The Butcher. I'd say "why didn't they put it on the album?" but I think i remember them saying they demoed it for the album and didn't like the way it came out, then they finished it up after the TKOL release and decided they liked it? Indecisive bastards.
I'm just gonna post a link to this photo in case any die hards don't want ANY spoilers whatsoever:
Thank you.
And guys, please put in a spoiler alert for set lists and etc. I'm one of the weirdo's that does not want to know a thing about the show before Thursday night.

Sometimes I try to do this, but not seeing these guys till at least April, theres no way I can hold out for that long, so I might as well embrace it.

I can appreciate this. The Radiohead freak in me just could not allow this though. I am not as strong as you
