The Foo Fighters at Hangout this year was one of the best sets I've seen all year. When they kick your ass for a couple of hours you realize how many great songs they have. They are really tight, I didn't hear a thing get dropped the whole night. I think they'd kill at Bonnaroo and I certainly hope they're around over Muse, Kanye or a few of the other names I've heard bounced around lately.

It'd be nice but I also think 2006 was a one off performance for Radiohead at Bonnaroo. I'm thinking the top 5 names next year are all going to be Bonnaroo first timers

I don't know why you would think that, Bonnaroo loves Radiohead, Radiohead loves Bonnaroo, they were supposedly booked this year at some point but backed out. I say it'll happen next tour.
Word is that while it's a novel idea putting Radiohead on a small stage, the sound equipment there isn't really handling the load all that well.
Here's the setlist. They're up through "Separator" at this point:
Lotus Flower 15 Step Magpie Little By Little All I Need Separator Give Up The Ghost Arpeggi Staircase I Might Be Wrong Bloom Reckoner Daily Mail
I'd love to see them on a small stage, though. But I definitely understand the difficulties. I just hope if they do come back to Bonnaroo that they play a really really long set.

I mean, if Radiohead came back, they would most definitely have to be the #1 headliner (unless, inexplicably, Macca or U2 were there the same year) and I imagine they'd get 2.5 hours at the very least for their headlining set.
Didn't they play for 3 hours in '06? I mean, just the 14 songs they just played at Glasto made for a 75-minute set. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if Roo gave them 3.5 hours to play with just like Bruce a few years back. Nobody would complain if they did.
BUT, I can't get my hopes up for Radiohead again, so I'm gonna say this is all a moot point and that it's doubtful Radiohead ever comes back.
I mean, rosko, it's honestly not THAT unlikely. It's just better to think that way to avoid disappointment. I'm actually kind of half expecting them to return within the next few years.

Yeah, it's not that unlikely. I just can't hope for Radiohead every year; like you said, gotta avoid that disappointment.
