Do you guys know something I don’t? On their last tour, aside from LA and NY, most shows didn’t sell out at all, and even the ones that did (again aside from LA NY) had incredibly low resale prices, like below face value. Unless Vampire Weekend blew up on TikTok or something over the past few years, I think it’s going to be easy to get tickets (aside from LA NY).

A rejection email would have been nice but it also wasn't that complicated. If you didn't get an email saying you got silver star tickets that obviously meant you didn't get them. Giant panic? You don't have to resort to hyperbole for everything.

I think giving advance notice like they claimed they would should be expected? I mean spotify sends out codes the minute their presales begins which is just the dumbest thing because it isnt gonna stop anything by holding out til the very last second.
Got selected for a shot at Olivia Rodrigo Silver tickets. I already have two $100 nosebleeds for the columbus show so if I get these silver tickets I'm gonna face value sell my other ones bc there's no way I get a worse seat than I already have with silver tix lol
So, they *have* sent out emails.
I've noticed a trend lately among not only concert promoters, but consumer-facing companies of every kind. No company wants to be the bearer of bad news. If they can't give you what you want, they'll either ignore your request or inquiry entirely, or simply send a canned/bot-selected FAQ answer which almost never adequately addresses your question.
They're under no obligation to say yes to what you want, but it's good business to actually give people an on-point response, even if it's not the one that they were hoping for.

Everyone should have gotten a response, even if the answer was no. I've received "sorry, but you weren't selected" emails from LiveNation/Ticketmaster before, and they should at least send these out to those who weren't selected.

But that leaves everyone wondering if they weren't selected, or if the emails haven't been sent out yet. It takes minutes to put the email together and send it out through their marketing automation system. I do this sort of thing as part of my job, and once you know your way around the platform that your company uses, it's so easy to do this.

Well, that could be inferred from the email, but it wasn't made explicit:
"If you are randomly selected to access the sale, you will receive a second email on the morning of Friday, February 16th with confirmation you’ve been chosen, as well as a link for the opportunity to purchase tickets."
Their standard operating procedure for a while now has been to send out a Yay or Nay email. They should either do that, or plainly state in the earlier email that only those people selected to purchase tickets will receive further notification.
AEG/Bowery's dynamic pricing for the Jason Isbell show in Boston is now at $229 per ticket, not including fees. I should have jumped on the original face value price of 80-something when I had the chance.
