Yeah, I'd have to burn a half day of vacation. Also I like Athens more than Atlanta. And Georgia Theatre is a great venue. Haven't been there since Tame Impala played there a few years ago.

Make sure to leave time to stop at Creature Comforts before the show. Their beer is awesome.

Will do. I've been to Terrapin Brewery once and we had a great time there. Nobody there was using all of their beer tickets and kept handing them to us before they left. We got white girl drunk before that Mastodon show at 40 Watt.

Well that sounds like a damn good day.
In all the time I've spent in Athens I've never actually gone to the Terrapin Brewery which is weird. I love their beers. Creature Comforts (for my money) is the best one in town and one of the best in Georgia. It being literally right around the corner from the Theatre doesn't hurt either.

I wonder is NoAge is okay. So much potential Bradford in his life.
Probably going to get tickets to the Asheville show
The show also features songs originally recorded by Uncle Tupelo including “Slate,” “True to Life” and the title track from the band’s final album Anodyne (1993).

Going to checkout Willie Watson at Shelter Fest in Christiansburg (only 15 minutes from my apartment) on Saturday. He was a member of Old Crow Medicine Show, played Forecastle last summer. He's pretty solid, if your into Americana/Alt-Country.
Just got 4 tickets for Macca in Columbus on October 13th! I'm like a giddy school girl.
Adjacent seats!? Cuz I haven't been able to pull up more than nosebleed singles for Toronto or Detroit...
They are all together, but in section 202. They are second deck, but in the first couple of rows and on the side. The view looks pretty good from there. I registered at paulmccartney.com and they let you start purchasing at 9 instead of the AMEX pre-sale at 10. Limit was 4 tickets and without spending $500 per, that's the best I could do.

Still, that's pretty spectacular luck (I had presale through paulmccartney.com and Live Nation; only adjacent seats I found were $300 each for the Toronto show...)
Oh well; at least there're already 3600 tickets available on Stubhub
EDIT: Took 40 minutes of refreshing on my desktop and phone, but I finally scored 2 tickets together in the upper level. For what I paid, I could've been front row for a number of smaller acts, but I'm finally be seeing Macca

Got my Asheville and Atlanta tix.
I'm having to hold out till after Hopscotch but I'm hoping to be there (Asheville not ATL). I'm also sitting on 50k street team points that's burning a hole in my wallet. One way or the other both me and the Mrs will be there.

I'll go to this if I can use street team points.
Both the Orange Peel and Variety Playhouse are venues that get street team tickets through AC. I would worry about it selling out though especially in Atlanta.

I don't believe they actually do Variety Playhouse anymore.

This is my biggest fear about waiting. Fingers crossed it doesn't sell out for a few weeks. I'm running short on hot dog and beer monies.

Strugill Simpson is playing The Jefferson on 9/16 (a Wednesday night), and it's sold out. Apparently it sold out within 48 hours of going on sell. So annoying, my buddy lives in downtown Charlottesville and is located within a 5 min walk to the venue. Normally shows don't sell out at The Jefferson, UM did last year but not until the week of the event. Can't find a ticket under $90 right now on re-sale, when they sold for $30-$35 from the box office. Somebody put up on Craigslist on Thursday that they would sell a pair of tickets for $100, got up with him within 24 hours, he told me he sold them within 2 hours of putting it online.
The only night I don't have class this semester is Wednesday's. Maybe they will come down, but it don't look good right now.

The Knoxville show finally got added to their official site. I have such a boner right now.
So in keeping with their tradition of doing things whenever they feel like it, advance tickets got put up today which is 7 days before the show. Of course, I jumped on one so fast. As a reminder, The Pilot Light is this big.
Either /usr/bin/simp or I (probably marc) may not make it out, but it'll be worth it.
