Felt so weird buying concert tickets again. I'm semi-optimistic, as it's the Decembrists outdoors at an apple orchard outside of Syracuse. With masks, the vaccine, getting tested twice a week at work, and the show not being until mid-August, I feel pretty safe, but it was definitely odd buying concert tickets again.

Pitchfork's got a new article out where they interviewed a ton of independent venue owners about how they've been getting by during COVID. In a few there are hints about what's on the horizon this summer/fall:
Masquerade, Atlanta - We’ve got an extremely full calendar for late summer or fall. Most of the shows have not been announced or put on sale yet, but once the flag drops, you’ll see hundreds go on sale. I don’t know if we’ll be able to keep up.
Beachland Ballroom, Cleveland - co-owner Cindy Barber rattles off the names of artists tentatively scheduled to play the venue this fall: Waxahatchee, Yo La Tengo, Thee Oh Sees, Caroline Rose, Baths, Brand X, Moon Hooch.
