Shut the fuck up. This venue getting the shows it's been getting lately is insane. 😂🤣😂
Not so fast, my friend.
"Helmet regrets to announce we are having to cancel the upcoming US tour with Local H. The cancellation is caused by a mix of significant financial concerns and lower than expected ticket sales which is a common problem for many artists this year. We look forward to getting back out on the road in 2025. In the meantime, our European Tour this November goes ahead as planned.
“As much as we’d love to be getting back out on the road and playing, this one was not lining up well for us. We’re excited about our upcoming November/December European tour which is looking great and we will reconvene in 2025 for more US dates.” – Page Hamilton"
Shout-out to these bands for being honest about the money stuff
Interesting thing about The Armed is that they have talked about it before. They have essentially been operating at a loss to give the fans the best show at a fair cost. So those cancellations as support for Queens really put a dent into things. And I had a feeling something was up when they printed up some exclusive shirts and were saying "hey, we need some funds for the fall tour". Sucks a lot. But I think they kept a couple dates still. Might just have the festivals now.

I’m going to the Saviors Tour tonight. It will be my first time seeing Green Day, Rancid, and The Linda Lindas. I saw Smashing Pumpkins once at the HORDE Festival in 1998, and it still stands as the worst performance I’ve ever seen. My buddy with whom I’m attending saw them at their arena tour a year or two prior, and it still stands as the worst performance he’s ever seen (though he said Fountains Of Wayne were great openers). Here’s hoping they’ve improved in the last couple decades.

I saw them once and they were pretty good. Going to see them next week on a off day from the Green Day tour they’re playing here.

I saw them headline the second night of Sea.Hear.Now in 2021 and it kicked fucking ass. Admittedly, I was rolling, but my wife, who was not, also said it was a great show, so I don't think it was just the drugs talking.

But it also sounded just terrible. I'm glad to hear the recent reviews are better.
I think that was like peak Pumpkins drug era?
'98 would have been post-peak drugs. Jimmy had been kicked out already. Darcy wasn't in good shape but Jimmy and the keyboard guy who OD'd were seen as the ringleaders.
The first half of the Mellon Collie tour was the most drugged up and arguably best live (depending on the night) version of the band IMO.

They have. Saw them last on the greatest hits tour a few years ago and they did everything you wouldve wanted to hear. This current tour setlist hits all that and a few deep cuts. Itll be perfectly fine.
