Very happy that they're playing Boston, not so happy that it's Agganis Arena. I've seen Wilco/My Morning Jacket, My Morning Jacket, and Pavement there, and I enjoyed all of those shows less than I would have had they been held anywhere else in Boston. It's a 7K capacity arena, and it's the most inappropriately bright arena I've ever been in. In most arenas, there's a short corridor between the concourse and the arena bowl, often angled, which minimizes concourse lights being visible in the bowl. I've never seen less of a corridor in any arena than at Agganis, in addition to brighter than usual lights going up each set of stairs. It feels like the houselights never really get turned off there.
Rather than stick us with yet another St. Vincent appearance in Boston (it seems like she plays here twice a year, whether opening or headlining) and upping this to a small arena, we could have gotten two nights at AEG's Roadrunner, which has capacity on par with Salt Shed (only 100 less). Had the tour been a month or two later, they could have put it at their Stage at Suffolk Downs 7K-ish outdoor venue.

This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.
One thing I've come to notice from foolishly clicking on Instagram video comment sections a lot is that in comment sections haters tend to attract haters and this comment section was 90% haters. I have to assume maybe half those people were Tool fans since two of the top rated comments were about how Tool needs to play the Sphere, unlike these assholes. (an aside: while I hate Tool, I do think they would be a good Sphere band.)
I manifested Tool at the Sphere. You’re all welcome

Fuck. I thought you were joking.
There are many things I joke about. The sphere is too sacrosanct for me to kid.
you aren’t helping your case by misrepresenting how big he is right now, he’s playing 1k+ venues in NYC, LA, and Boston and that’s it lol. Also thinking that MJ and Wednesday touring together would magically double their audience is hilarious
Playing a 1k capacity venue in Asheville but that's a hometown show. Hasn't sold out, and Wednesday hasn't sold it out the three times they've played there either.
annnnnnnnnnnd it sold out right before I could get my ticket
