Wilco Just added a date out in scottsdale!! bacon pre-sale tix go on sale tomorrow.
totally quacking bummed though, its the ONE date they don't have Steve Gunn opening (other than the fest dates). Instead they have Dr. Dog...who just played two shows here last month. I like them, but I really want Steve Gunn.

I'm probably going but waiting on the ticket for now, just not worth an extra $60 to try for pit as opposed to GA field

Why do they ALWAYS skip NOLA? They came in '07 and '14. Fuck a duck.

Don't feel bad. They are literally driving from Chattanooga, everywhere in between, then Memphis, and missing Nashville.

Maybe they'll play Voodoo this year?
Every time that they are touring and skipping NOLA, that is what is said. I seriously doubt it since Voodoo is October 31-Nov 2 this year and their last tour date is in July. We get skipped by a bunch of artists because in the past we didn't have the demographics or the venues to handle some of the artist. We still don't have a huge demographic for 'Alternative/Indie' rock, but we have the venues now and since Katrina we've gotten more that would have skipped us in the past. But Modest Mouse sells out every time they play here, but only stop here every blue moon. It is very frustrating.
if anyone wants to make a weekend of this, MMJ is Friday, Brandi Carlisle is Saturday, and Bama Shakes/ Drive by truckers is Sunday.
I wish there were a show with just the alabama shakes' openers on this tour. Father john misty, drive by truckers, allah las, strand of oaks.
omg that red rocks weekend would be killer.
I think my GF and I decided this morning we're gonna do MMJ & Alabama Shakes. I've never been to Denver / RR, and I don't think I could beat MMJ Friday > City Saturday > Shakes Sunday

I'll be doing the two Columbus shows for mmj. I have a sneaking suspicion that they will end up playing a late night set at the Louisville palace during forecastle, in which case ill be trying to make that one as well.

Visited Cornell's concert tickets page to see if Modest Mouse tickets were available yet and just realized that Dr. Dog is playing here in less than two weeks. How the hell did I miss that? Dr. Dog in March and Modest Mouse in April. Not bad, Cornell. Not bad at all.
Oh, Rothric! Just made that Liturgy DC show a priority. Just checked the Sannhet tour dates. Hot. Damn. Hopefully my ears will still be bleeding by Shaky Knees.
February 27th – St. Vitus Brooklyn, NY w/ This Will Destroy You, Planning for Burial April 2nd – DC9, Washington, DC w/ Liturgy April 3rd – Boot & Saddle, Philadelphia, PA w/ Liturgy April 4th – Kings, Raleigh, NC w/ Liturgy April 5th – The Masquerade Atlanta, GA w/ Liturgy April 7th – Red 7, Austin, TX w/ Liturgy April 8th – Club Dada, Dallas, TX w/ Liturgy April 9th – Kansas City, MO w/ Liturgy April 10th – Subterranean Chicago, IL w/ Liturgy April 11th – Dionysus Disco Oberlin, OH w/ Liturgy
Ya, after hearing the new Liturgy and Sannhet, there's no way I can miss that show. And that show back to back with Swans...that's two devastating nights of music in a row! I actually do kind of hope I'm working during that time frame, because then my likelihood of being off for Levitation goes up. I'll just need to get a coffee IV or something for those days of work.
Are you familiar with either Horse Lords or Marriage? They're the other two openers for the Austin show. Not sure if they're doing the whole tour, or just local openers.
monster, you going to be able to make the Atlanta show? Suriel you making the Dallas show?
And I have Tobacco on 4/1. And then Inter Arma a week or so later. April is shaping up to be amazing!
Looking forward to what you thought of them live at the DC show.
I'm trying to get a ticket for Purity Ring in DC at the end of May, and on the 9:30 website it doesn't say sold out...then you click the link and it says "artist early sale sold out." With no info on when general sale goes on sale. SOS. I want a ticket bad.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

Ugh, I would if money wasn't so tight right now.
