I don't see Outkast making the Top 5 of this time period. They released Stankonia, which is certainly one of the best hip-hop albums of this era, but what else? S/TLB was inconsistent, and Idlewild has been mostly-forgotten. Then they disappeared.
Your face is inconsistent! Speakerboxxx/The Love Below is a terrific album! Their best! Shut up! Your mom is inconsistent!
Seriously, though, you're wrong.
No, man. It's, in fact, their 3rd best record. Yer just still hooked on singing "Hey Ya."

Hahaha to each their own, I just find most of their collaborative albums to be better than the Double-solo-album thing. Sure, some of the best Outkast songs written are on S/TLB, but as an overall album I really don't think it's as strong. Third best sounds about right, although it may be fourth.
My 5 are based on success and not personal choice......
-KOL -Green Day -Foo's -White Strpes -Black Keys
....now everyone can get back to cutting and pasting MMJ, LCD, Radiohead, etc, etc.....
if it were really based on that stripes and keys wouldn't be top 5.
???? How so?
ALL of the Black Keys albums were released after the year 200 and the same goes for the White Stripes, with the exception of their first album that dropped in 99'. If you ask me.......those are two of the bigger rock bands when it comes to success in the 2000's......Im really not sure how you can disagree with that?

42 posts and The National haven't even been listed as an honorable mention? Two extremely good albums (Alligator and Boxer), one very good (High Violet) and two solid ones with some great tracks in their own right (SSFDL and s/t). Plus, they're incredible live.
