These guys need to be at Bonnaroo. No one can replace Shannon Hoon, but at this point I don't care who the band has as their vocalist, these guys need to be at Bonnaroo before any tragedy strikes the other remaining original members or myself, so the sooner the better.
Just imagining Blind Melon go through their greatest hits at Bonnaroo has given me a fucking boner.
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.
No thank you. Saw them in 08 for like 3 bucks... waste of time and money. But, I never liked their music, anyway.... and when they played No Rain, they played it for like 12 minutes... first with the vocals from the new singer, then without his vocals and only the audience singing. Really annoying.

See, here's the thing, though... Alice In Chains is actually good with their new guy. Seen them twice, very good both times. As a live band, I'd dare say they're better, now... they have a stable lead singer who's not obliterated to the point of poor performance half the time. And, Layne is one of my top 5 personal favorite voices in rock history.

Saw Sublime with Rome and was quite impressed actually, maybe because watching bradley forget the words to his own songs was quite painful. Besides, even karaoke sublime is better than not hearing those songs at all anymore...

ZOMBIEFEST 2012 featuring Jerry, type o negative, Jimi with special guest Janis Joplin, the bass player from Slipknot, Amy winehouse... any late addition rumors?
I also saw this, and will agree that it was, indeed, awful. The H-Train had definitely taken its toll
Was it pretty close to the end?
It was before he had went into rehab the second time. The local rock station said that he was sick with pneumonia, but I am pretty sure it was just the arm candy making him tone deaf.

The stones show was great though, with all the blow up dolls.
I firmly subscribe to the law of no scab lead singers. We must all make certain small, decent sacrifices, in order to rid the world of the Journeys & Van Hagars. Sorry Sabbath, Maiden, Dead. It's either all instrumental or all new material. Tough love for Faith No More, AC/DC.
