Hey everyone. Over the last few weeks I've been writing and recording all on my own and so far I have finished four demos. I play every instrument so the songs are all pretty sloppy, but if you get a chance check them out and let me know what you think. Here is my soundcloud
I had a salad without crunch tonight, but their homemade dressing was so good it didn't matter.
If you go somewhere with really fresh produce, the crunch of the veggies can make up for the wontons & croutons. And I say this as the Carbomonster Supreme.

Went to a really cool, old, restaurant/theatre called the Starlight outside of Big Bend in this old desert-rat community called Terlingua. They had this homemade pineapple cilantro vinaigrette that was out of this world. Wish they sold some of it, because I would have bought a few bottles! Also had the best steak there I've had in a LONG time, a delicious hand cut and aged bacon wrapped filet topped with sauteed mushrooms and garlic. Hungry just thinking about it...
And completely agreed, a salad needs some sort of crunch to really take it to the next level.

I used to be pissed at you cilantro hates. But now that I know the reason, I feel sorry for you when they put it on a salad. They need an option, like peanut allergies.
Co-worker's family is from Hawaii, and he just visited them. He brought back some home made Kalua pig. Having some with some sticky rice for lunch right now. Delicious

Ha, I wish I were in SA right now, stuck outside a shit hole of a town called Crystal City, maybe 40 or so miles from the Mexican border.
It's been shitty weather here too. Nothing like the rest of you have been experiencing, but for the past two days it's been 35° with drizzle the whole time. Not fun when I have to go outside to catch samples. It's almost March, and I'm near the Mexican border, it's not supposed to be this nasty! I can deal with the temps, it's the combo of the near freezing rain that really puts a damper on things. I make sure I'm outside as little as possible!
But I do have to admit, the food situation is looking good!
Edit: And you know the best part of these southern latitudes? You get to be surrounded by people who live/breathe/die by Fox News, and nothing else. If Sean Hannity didn't say it, it's not true. Some of the shit I hear, I just have to shut my mouth and walk away. One of the reasons I'm ready to GTFOOT (get the fuck out of Texas!).
