Brunch is definitely intimidating, even now that I know a good chunk of the people there.
Worth it, but intimidating
It's tough because there's so much going on at once in such a tight, confined space with some people you know and some people you haven't met yet. It would be great if we were able to have a specific area just for Brunch instead of hoping it works out in Tent Only but last few years has been good.
it probably irritates me more than it should, but all of the same neighbors who love to question why i'm doing my own yard work absolutely love to say "how about doing mine next?" when i'm cleaning out mine or someone else's car.
One of the reasons I love living on the levee. I have only a neighbor behind my house and to the right if standing in front of my house looking at it. The house on the other side, the owner passed years ago, and the sons refuse to fix it up other than cut the grass (supposedly, they fought over selling/fixing it at the time and now it has disintegrated because the refuse to agree). So it is basically a blighted property that cuts its grass. BUT, nobody there to harass you.
Back in my youth I was a big TLC fan (the group) and they are on tour with NKOTB and Nelly right now.
I've avoided thinking about it but it just hit me that I really want to see them live. I could never do it when I was a young fan because no one ever tours around here to begin with, plus I doubt my parents would've driven me that far to see them.
They're going to be playing Nashville on the 27th and that is the closest this tour gets to me I'm afraid. Oddly enough I will be up in that area the 21st-25th. Should I go ahead and request two more vacation days so I get a chance to see my childhood favorite group or be responsible and save my money for things that are important?
I will 100% go with you.... Let me know what you decide so we can get tickets together

Two of my roommates graduated today. Kate goes out to the bar last night and comes home around 2:30. Nothing unusual. Then this morning as I'm getting ready for work, she ambles out into the hallway:
"Justin, I think I'm still drunk." "Hahaha I think you are too." "I don't wanna be drunk. I haffa get my hair done at ten. What should I do?" "Go drink some water."
She then manages to bang her hip on the wall, nearly falling over. I'm assuming she made it to graduation okay though. Later tonight they're throwing a joint grad party at our house and there's probably gonna be 150+ people here. And two kegs and an ice luge. It's going to be insane. And I haven't really eaten yet today...I should get on that.

Damn, that sounds awesome! I hope she made it to the graduation, but with a party like that afterwards, who needs to walk across the stage? Oh and go eat.
Why the fuck did I sign up to do the Rugged Maniac tomorrow?
What is that? It sounds terrible.
"How about a day filled with 25 epic obstacles, a crazy party, and plenty of beer? Rugged Maniac Obstacle Race has you covered! Here’s how it works: Sign up for the race and you’ll run our 3-mile course where you’ll climb towers of shipping containers, rocket down a 50’ water slide, bounce on trampolines, jump over fire, and more!"

I do think it will be fun. I'm going with a group from work and none of us are in Crossfit shape, if you know what I mean. I just hope I don't die.
I did the dirty adventure, which has (not as intense) of obstacle course and mud and stuff, three of the girls held three of us back, but we had a ton of fun regardless. We had to help the three on some of the obstacles because we were determined to complete them all. After it is over and you have that cold beer (which I don't drink but did this day) and that medal around your next, kicking it with your friends, it makes it all worth while. You will have a blast, just don't over think it.

Haha I just came home with dinner and she's knocked out cold in her bed. And my other roommate isn't home, even though this party supposedly starts in fifteen minutes. If anyone shows up I'm just gonna be like "I'll be upstairs on the internet if you need me. Have fun in this empty house."

I pulled a muscle in my lower back and it's really testing my pain tolerance. I constantly feel like I'm going to vomit from the pain
Ouch, back pain sucks. Judging from the inclination to vomit I'm not sure you're mobile enough to do this, but this stretch is really, really good at mobilizing those lower back muscles that feel like they're deep in you're spine and unable to be stretched. Several months ago I went to the doc hunched over and thinking I had a herniated disc. He stretched me out and I walked out of the office upright and nearly pain-free.
