going to the X-games in MPLS saturday, my 12 year old self is freaking out and flume plays that night so gonna be a good day!
When I was in high school, the winter X-Games were at Mount Snow in Vermont where my family had a timeshare right on the mountain. It was glorious. Half days of boarding, half days of watching the games, great nightlife, and my own bathroom just feet away.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

Really wish I was at the Paul McCartney show tonight. The last time I didn't go to an old acts solo tour it ended up being Prince's last show. So if Macca dies next week, that's on me.

FYI, changing your name is a never-ending and time consuming process. Unexpected issues will pop up for YEARS (possibly decades???). It's not like it's NOT a common occurrence, so why is it always so hard to make these changes, and why are the instructions never clearly stated somewhere for each and every bank/website/etc? It always involves calling someone (or many someones) or MAILING a certified copy of your marriage certificate somewhere (yeah, order like 20 of those if you ever intend to change your name). I'm convinced if men were the ones regularly changing their names, they would've passed a law to streamline this shit process ages ago.
I'm so hungry right now. I intentionally had a small lunch, then brought NO snacks to work. I am a fool.
I sometimes do that just so I can find an excuse to have a big dinner. I regret my decision right after the dinner though, and tell myself never to do it again. But it's an endless cycle.

Laziness was a significant factor in my decision to not change my name when we got married. Definitely not the only factor, but a significant one.

I made an appointment for tomorrow morning so I can get my prescription refilled. I have a little bit of white coat syndrome where I get all nervous about having my blood pressure taken, which then makes my blood pressure go up. When talking about it today, I received this advice:
"Do you have a blood pressure cuff? Take it tonight and tell them it was normal tomorrow. Or you could just lie if it's not." - my mom, the nurse

One of the girlfriend's friends started getting super high blood pressure reasons at the doctor. Like put a 31 year old on meds kind of readings. Before they did that, they asked him to wear a blood pressure monitor all day for a week as he went about his routine. When he turned it in, he had today normal readings for the entire week. At that point, they figured out that he just has the white coat syndrome so they dropped the issue.

I'm typically not a snacker, but I've been trying to have smaller meals, particularly lunch, in order to whittle down those calories. But yesterday's small lunch led to afternoon hunger.
A couple hours after my post I got takeout from the nepalese place and went crazy on it. I could have eaten the entire box of chow mein but I forced myself to stop, so while I ate too much I didn't eat as much as I could.
You're welcome for another high quality, intellectually stimulating post from POSTJACK INTERNATIONAL LLC., providing quality content on the internet and local BBS's since 1993.
I've never understood how country music got so popular in the North. Boston now has two country radio stations. Some of the big bro country artists sell out Fenway Park and Gillette Stadium. Just odd to me.
Nepali/Indian cuisine. My favorite restaurant in Mobile, also conveniently less than a mile from work and home. They do crazy delicious versions of all your standard Indian dishes (Kormas, Saag Paneer, Chicken Tiki, etc.) but also Nepali dishes like Mo Mo Chicken/Vegetable, various chow meins, mulligatawny soup, etc.
They do a lunch buffet which is great, but as is usually the case ordering off the menu is best.

I made the mistake of learning that there is a lawyers lounge area I have access to that has assorted snacks (and beer!). So now when I get hungry at work I have to resist the urge to go binge on peanut m&m's and cheez-its.

I actually do have a cuff that I keep around to check it from time to time. It often runs a little on the high side of normal, even at home, but it's pretty much always better than it is at the doctor's office and not in the range where they would think about giving me meds for it. Regardless, wearing a monitor for a week would probably be better because once I got used to it, I'd just forget it was there and could get an actual look at what it runs normally.

I submitted an application for a rental house on July 5. The owner was on vacation at the time, so I didn't expect to hear back right away. On July 11, I e-mailed him to follow up. The same day, he responded, saying he was in Nashville until Thursday and would have a definite answer for me today. It's almost 3 his time now, and I still haven't heard from him. Do I send him another follow up today or wait until Monday? I don't want to be a pain, but I'd really like to have an answer so I can do my paperwork for the new job and schedule our moving stuff, and if I'm not going to get it, I need to start looking for something else ASAP.
