Have a gnarly case of tennis elbow that stopped me from weightlifting for several months. I got some resistance bands and am looking to do some weightlifting replacement work, but am nervous about hurting my elbow further. For example, I don't think it'd be wise to do pushups, pullups, etc.
Does anyone have recommendations for a routine or something I could do? I've been walking with my dogs around an hour a day, so that helps. I abhor running. I wanted to do some stadiums or uphill running, but the local park is closed, and Tampa is pretty flat.

i have no advice, just can commiserate with you. three times over the past three years i've had self-diagnosed tennis elbow halt my training. i've tried various internet remedies like flexbar, gyro ball, etc., with limited positive results but i always end up hurting myself again, always on amrap sets which i vow to no longer do whenever i start training again.
i've also been stubborn and have never sought physical therapy. i don't know if it would help but certainly it would be better then my own internet research.
all i can really do is walk, exercise bike, rest, and eat less while injured.

Yoga. Some are more active/passive than others, so you can probably find something that gives you the degree of intensity you're looking for, from what is essentially gentle stretching to flow sequences that will leave you sweating and breathing heavy. I'm usually very casual in my yoga-ing, but I'm leaning into it more right now as a complement to the physical therapy I'm doing for my lower back and it's loosening me up something wonderful. With tennis elbow I'd probably avoid vinyasa style for right now because there are a couple sequences that can involve supporting the body while the elbow is in a flexed position. But pretty much anything can be modified, and yoga is really about your relationship to your body and how it feels that day, so if something doesn't feel good, just don't do it. Yoga with Adriene is great and probably the most oft-recommended YouTube channel for yoga.
Otherwise, personally I've been finding at-home workouts to be awful. I have dumbbells at home but drumming up the discipline to do a legit quality workout without plopping down on the couch halfway through is quite challenging. I just can't for the life of me get in the right mindset to really want to work up a sweat in my living room. So mostly I'm just reorienting myself towards making flexibility/stability gains and getting halfhearted workouts in because it's better than nothing.
Though if you don't have those problems and are ready to bust your ass with a great at-home workout, I'll leave you with this:

I got diagnosed with it in December after successfully beating my longest streak for consecutive months weightlifting (three months). Naturally this would happen right after I reach this record

This is super helpful, thanks! I used to do yoga and enjoyed it. I'll give it another go!

Pre-lockdown I liked to boulder and run with an occasional bike ride thrown in for exercise. Now I'm sticking to running/walking/biking with yoga mixed in. Yoga With Adrienne on YouTube is the best resource I have found.
She has years of classes on there organized into helpful playlists. Plus she's just an entertaining person in general. I don't really know anything about yoga but a few of those videos helped me work up a good sweat and feel more flexibile.
There's also /r/bodyweightfitness on Reddit if you want to find some more aerobic routines to mix in with some yoga.
If you guys want your whole house to smell like a bucket of grease for days on end, be my guest.
I coat my bed sheets with a thin layer of bacon grease. Makes slipping into the bed faster and the scent lulls me to slumber.
I’m working later this week (when I return to Florida) on trying out some candied bacon recipes. There are a few that require painting the strips each time you flip them in the oven. But there is one that starts with cayenne pepper and then brown sugar and black pepper. I’ll report back.

Please do. I haven't had good experiences with candied bacon, always too sweet, but I imagine it could be done well.

which one? I was gonna go to the most famous BBQ in Houston for my 30th because I had never been there but then all the Rona started going down and just decided against it
i've visited my friends in houston four or five times now i think. we've eaten at lots of different bbq places and without fail they've all been excellent, but the one that stands out to me is Pinkerton's BBQ.
also haven't eaten there but my friend always goes on and on about how next time we'll go to Blood Brothers, i trust his food knowledge completely so i'm sure it's superb.
non-bbq but the only restaurant we've been too every single trip is Pondicheri, you ever been there? we typically go for breakfast. delicious.
Have you tried Bay Barbeque across from Butch Cassidy's? Get the Erotic Ribs.

no, but i've heard of it! forgot about it until you mentioned it. i'll have to try it. thanks for the reminder.
Been a long time since I've been on Inforoo, but I've definitely thought about quite a few of you during that time.
Think it's been around 2 1/2 years since I've been on here, a lot has happened in that time!
Finally got out of the oil field. I'm currently back in school, studying Industrial Engineering. Really glad I made the change and switched directions, IE is just feels like a natural fit for me. Only have two semesters left, set to graduate May 2021. I've been working at a Walmart Distribution Center while going to school, so I've been staying busy. Still working right now during COVID-19, but work has been slowing up these past few weeks. Hope everyone is staying safe right now.
I see Tool is FINALLY playing 'roo again! It was Tool that first got me to Bonnaroo back in '07. It was my first music festival ever. I rolled up solo with no idea what to expect. Really glad I did, it's definitely put me in touch with some amazing people over the years.
Thankfully I got to see Tool twice on their new album tour in both San Antonio and Austin before things shut down.
I haven't been to many shows recently, not much free time between school and work. But the most recent shows have been Lane 8, Tool, Seismic Dance Event, and King Gizzard.
Seismic was absolutely incredible. I got to see Bicep! I'll say it again, but louder:
I GOT TO SEE BICEP!
I never thought I'd get to see Bicep unless I made it to Coachella, Movement, or something like that. But I got to see Bicep in Austin Seismic 3.0 was supposed to happen in about a month, but obviously that's not happening. It's been postponed to November and still looking forward to it.
Just some random thoughts in my head, thought this was the right thread for it.
You'll be seeing more of me, I plan on catching up around here this week.
It was pretty comforting to see so many familiar names when I was scrolling through the recent posts.
Welcome back Rothric!! I’ve thought about you a lot and wondered where you went off to. So glad you’re doing well (overall and with COVID). And happy birthday
great to hear from you Rothric! here's what has happened since you left:
-bonnaroo is cool again. lots of us returned to bonnaroo last year
-juggs only shows up about once a quarter to throw out a half hearted and nonsensical insult which is mostly ignored. he changes his name but you pretty much know it's him.
-most of the troublemakers were either banned or self banned after the other troublemakers were banned because without other troublemakers to start trouble with inforoo wasn't worth the trouble. except for that troll snowmanomura who still regularly terrorizes the boards.
-the Infinity Draft has become the premiere annual inforoo sporting event.
-i got really into techno but phish is still my favorite band.
-many inforooers who were teenagers have turned into key and upstanding members of our community
-TRANTER INDUSTRIES and Delicious Meatball Sub joined forces to pull off an elaborate fake lineup stunt last year, it was really good. can't go find it right now maybe someone else can point to where it started.

postjack is being modest. He's actually already solved this problem:
for music festivals what if they tested your blood when you show up and if you have coronavirus you can't come in and if you have corona virus antibodies they take a lot of your blood and then during shows they spray this blood over the crowd. would that help.
