Been listening to vinyl and watching a 3hour YouTube video of some dude driving through Manhattan. It's weirdly really awesome. Just a POV in a bustling city, definitely pre-covid.

Yay sibling rivalry! Charles and I used to chase each other with knives, it could be worse.
I mean, I don't know any more about the situation but my son definitely deserved it. He's fucking sour patch kid.
My brother and I are only a year apart and we fought bad. He was an asshole and always deserved it.
After 30 years of rivalry, we made up. Our relationship was never close until our house got infiltrated by the virus at the end of June. He was the only sibling checking on me and he was checking in daily (and still is), which is fucking weird.
i've always liked Jamie XX. really enjoyed his set at bonnaroo. but i don't think i ever really liked him like other inforoo'ers.
was looking through my records and i found "In Colour". been listening to it today and i like it more now than i ever have. i think maybe i just need something gentle and cool to warm my stress during these times.

I have an appointment for my first ever routine mammogram tomorrow, and I’d say there’s nothing I would rather do less, but I’m also due for a colonoscopy this year, so there’s that.

But at least you're out for the colonoscopy. Granted, the prep sucks.

I've had both. The mammogram is worse. Sorry.
I’ve had a colonoscopy before, so at least I know what I’m in for there. I actually handled the prep better than I expected to. My brother tried to chug his, and he threw up on his girlfriend. Technically, he threw up in the sink and some splashed on her, but still.
For any of these things, I think the anticipation is really the worst part for me. I’m a hardcore worrier, so I make myself crazy leading up to the actual event. I also tend to have some white coat syndrome, so I hate that they take my blood pressure every time I step in a doctor’s office because it’s always high because I’m worried about it being high which is really frustrating.

They're neither of them terrible. The Covid nasal swab was worse, IMO.

The brain tickling test as I call it. I'm familiar with all three procedures and the worry is the worst for me.

I survived. The technician was wearing a mask and a face shield, but I still felt more uncomfortable about how close her face was to mine than I did about her squishing my boobies into that machine.

Passive viewing videos like this are awesome. There's a few train rides through Norway on Netflix called Slow TV that are great to leave on. There's also some good walking tour channels on YouTube and some national parks 4k footage channels that I really enjoy. The key is to find the channels that just use natural sound instead of stock music.
Multiple times last year I worked all day with the bear cam on while listening to Jake Xerxes Fussell's discography and it was the most peaceful feeling I've felt without literally going into the woods. We're coming up on the height of bear fattening season so there's gonna be some good bear viewing in the coming weeks.
Anyone else having trouble with Twitter media loading? For me, it's a total crapshoot if pictures and video will load. This is through multiple access points (Twitter app and Chrome) on various WiFi networks.

Yeah I'm hardcore into slow TV and similar YouTube channels right now. I'll check out some you've posted, those sound cool.
There's a nice selection of nature cams on YouTube that I'll put in for the kids sometimes when I just want them to chill out for a bit. That stream with the bears catching fish is a popular one.
