My random thought came to me today while reading comments about Demi Lovato coming out as nonbinary. One of the top comments is about not knowing who they are posted in an almost bragging way. Why are there always these comments when news is posted about any celebrity? Nobody gives a fuck and they certainly don't think you're a cool guy (it's always guys) bc you're oblivious to who some celebrity is.
Ya I hate this. Same with the “I don’t know who any of these bands are!” on a festival poster, like you deserve a prize for aging out of pop culture.
Also the "who gives a shit" crowd are the people who give a shit in the worst way because they're the exact same people who can and will go out of their way to misgender somebody
And then there are the people who literally will not talk to me because they don't wanna be arsed to remember I use they/them
Yeah, I feel like if you really didn’t care, you would not be saying things like “who cares?”. You would likely just think “good to know” to yourself and go about your day

Or dudes that tell you they “don’t care what they wear” who always seem to have a very particular uniform they do care very much about.
I hope you threw a bunch of camping chairs in your trunk just in case.
If it's in your phone, it's serious business.
any second my wife is going to get home from work and say "did you remember chairs" and i still won't know what it means.
I only have two reminders in my phone.
One reads "Karate" and the other "Swim". They're set up as weekly reminders. The problem is that I never set up times and can never remember which is which. Mrs. GL eventually got so pissed off she bought a dry erase and wrote it there after realizing I was never going to finish the reminders.
She still tells me to look at the board when I ask when I need to have them there by.

One time my college roommate said to me, and it was almost like an epiphany type moment, "SeYou know me. I don't care what people think about me but I really care about what people think about me" or something along those lines. and it was such a great moment of self reflection. He was very much a person who put a bit of an effort into certain looks or clothing styles but also would want everyone thinking he was pretty unconcerned with their opinions on him.
For TV show news I always get annoyed by the "Is that show still on?" or any other types of comments that you see again and again and again. Like...if you don't care about the show or this news why even waste time on a comment?

I have a dry erase board that has the grocery list and garbage nights.
Well after a decade + bartending I just got a job as a sales consultant for a beverage distributor here in Austin. 9-5 Monday - Friday and I get a truck. This is awesome
And instead of saying all of your goodbyes - let them know you realize that life goes fast - It's hard to make the good things last-you realize the sun doesn't go down - It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round

Welcome to the beverage industry. It’s been crazy busy for my company the last year, and I assume it’s probably the same on the distributor side of things.

thinking of all the people back out at shows who are going to ask for a hit and me, who can't say no to people, filled with joy just saying "nah man, covid"

If you say "I just tested positive recently" you may get some extra space around you at the show. Or get kicked out. But maybe worth the risk.
if anyone is preparing a start of summer playlist, a great way to start is Lana Del Rey's "Doin' Time" > Funkadelic's "Can You Get To That". they sound great next to each other.

People should listen to more funkadelic. My friend was asking me for some psych rock suggestions, and I told him some of the obvious current stuff (basically a desert daze lineup) but also mentioned funkadelic, because they really were making some great, wild stuff. My friend, like a lot of people, have an idea of George Clinton in their heads, and then you go listen to their self titled or free your mind albums and it's Hendrix esque guitar heroics over some funky grooves.
