Just received a 9 cent settlement check in the mail.
I once received a 10 cent check from my college for an "interest adjustment". It's still sitting on my fridge, as a reminder of how stupid people can be.
I'm horrible at waking up in the morning. Today my 6:50 alarm went off and I turned it off, knowing I had a 7:00 alarm as well. Woke up at 8:20. Last year seems like I had my son to school on time everyday, now we're constantly trying to put on clothes and run out the door. Any suggestions? I asked him (he's 5, 6 in February) if I bought an alarm for his room if he would help me wake up and he said yes.
Put your alarm across the room so you can't turn it off. I wouldn't ask the kid just cause that might put too much internal pressure on him.
as a teacher, i would say this is not putting too much pressure on him. especially if he is acting excited about it, or wanting to help with the responsibility. in my opinion, it is never to early to start helping children realize that life is full of a million things you have to do to help keep your life moving.
that said, it is obviously still your responsibility as the adult to get everyone up and i think the suggestion of putting it across the room so you have to actually physically get out of your bed to turn it off is a great one. also the sucky realization that if you are a sleep snoozer, then don't make snooze an option and just get up at the first alarm.
(yuck. getting up early is pretty much my least favorite part about being a teacher. nothing like having to be at work by 7:15am. haha)
Early definitely sucks. While reading your post he inquired as to if I had bought him the alarm, so we found a battery for the one I used to use that has been dead and he has put it under his small Christmas tree in his room. haha. We'll see how we start tomorrow off!

Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

holy quack
Unless that quote was posted by a girl you're trying to have intercourse with, delete them immediately. They're obviously too stupid to live.
That needs to be restated. And hell, I wouldn't even bother having intercourse with her - especially with that whole Juggalo comment now. Way too stupid to live, much less sleep with.
I also add this to the horribly dumb Facebook comments list...
I pretty much know that I can't go to Bonnaroo in 2012, ending my run after 6 years. I felt so sad about it that I've not been on Inforoo for the last couple of months.
I have now decided to just pretend that I am going in 2012. So I'm back. And I feel much better. Ha.

Boo!
On another note, I have been driving my in-law's car for the last two days while ours is getting fixed. It has a Sirius radio in it. I have really missed having one of those.

The Alabama Shakes were totally cool last night, but I liked these guys a LOT! Way more fun and uplifting, a lot less lovesick heartbreakyness, ha. A totally rockin' jamboree ;D
