lol, its so funny being able to spot all the posters who have been away the entire offseason and coming back, because they all have no vowels in their username and their avatar has a SBTRKT mask on it.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.
There's a "faulty control switch" in my building and it's been deathly hot since Thursday afternoon. We arrive dthis morning to framed pictures all over the ground that were previously attached magnetically the sides of of our massive filing system (we keep paper copies of applications and their materials). It's so hot that the adhesive is melting and the pictures are becoming detached from their magnets!
I can't personally complain too much as I have one of the only open-able windows in the building (about 4-5 for over 30 people). I have mine wide open with fans in it to attempt to cool off others as much as possible. (I'm even keeping my jacket loosely on as it is quite brisk outside)
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

Damn. It melted the adhesive...that's nuts! I hope you make it through! Probably a good thing you're wearing sandals today.
Thanks, Chico. Like I said, I am one of the lucky ones with a window. I just saw an email thread between a few of our Buildings and Grounds crew. On Saturday, someone said a few areas of the building were exceeding 100!

Ever have someone say something so staggeringly idiotic and dumbfounding that you literally stop what you're doing and just stare out the window for five minutes evaluating where you are in your life, what you did to get to this point, and how many feet make up the difference between your 52nd story window sill and 42nd street on the ground below?
Because that just happened. It's ~585 feet, for those wondering.
