Quack THE CARPENTERS!! I have no idea why my parents on NO NO WORD!!! would have listened to them. its quacking horrible
one of my more embarrassing childhood memories is this: when I was 9, my Sunday School teacher asked everyone in class about their favorite music. going around the room literally every other kid said "Vanilla Ice"... at the time, I was only allowed to listen to Christian music, my mom's music and the oldies station on the radio. so instead of just pretending to be cool and answering Vanilla Ice even though I had no idea what or who that was, I said "The Carpenters." I might have been saved by the fact that no one knew who they were, except that the teacher said, "Oh, I love them too!" ...as you might imagine, there was some mockery that followed.
although I did eventually rebel and listen to all kinds of music my mom hated, and ended up memorizing all the words to "Ice Ice Baby" (which has come in handy more often than you might think), I still occasionally put on The Carpenters' album "Gold" and yes, I do still like it. Karen Carpenter had such a gorgeous tone.

Anyone from Atlanta want to tell me if the are around the Alpharetta Amp is safe to walk? We are looking at a hotel about a mile away. We have friends that live in Brookhaven but the cost of the taxi would be more than the hotel would be.

Good to know. The hotel lady wouldn't tell me anything, said its just like other towns? I was just worried because the only other venue (that wasn't downtown)I have been to in Atlanta at was Lakewood, and that place was super sketchy.

Yeah, the diff between verizon and lakewood is night and day. In fact, when I saw Arcade Fire at Verizon back in '10, we met a sweet kid who drove all the way from Mississippi for the show. And afterwards he told us, yeah, im gonna drive a little and get out of the city then take a nap on the southside of town - and me and my 2 friends started screaming NONONONONONONO NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! If you're gonna take a nap, just do it right here in this parking lot!! You don't get much more affluent in ATL than Alpharetta.

Oh Dave Maynar, Dave, Dave. I never choose beforehand. I like pretty much every burger on their menu. But I really do choose in the moment. However, for the sake of conversation bc I am tired of typing up this work plan, here are my top 5:
Black n' Blue Yokahama Mama Spanish Fly (not currently on menu) The coronary bypass (just the REGULAR ONE) The Mexicali (not currently on menu)
....Im thinking today may be a 4 horsemen day as I would like to drink some horseradish.

Have you tried the Elvis one? I thought about it at Radiohead, but it seemed too risky for a first time adventure.

I have - but I did half-sies with someone. It was delicious. But a LOT of peanut butter. But it is spot on with that salty/sweet thing. Bacon + Bananas + Beef = Trifecta of Nom.
