Oh no. I thought it was "undermind" and the past tense was "underminded" and no one has EVER corrected me. I am so mad at all the people in my life right now for letting me live like this.
i can't even find the grrrr thread because searching recent threads here blows. no offense mods. am i missing something crazykittensmile?
anyways my great grandma has been doing rough for the last week. my great grand father passed about 6 months ago and i get a text from my mom notifying me how she isn't do well, which i knew. then she says that my great grandma doesn't really have the will to live and wants to spend christmas with my great grand father. the most sad beautiful thing i've maybe ever heard
I can't remember where I read it, but they actually did a study where couples that are married for a certain length of time have a significantly higher chance of passing within six months of each other. My grandmother outlived my grandfather by about ten years, but she had a similar kind of thing going on where she missed so many people that had already gone that she had lost her fear/worry about dying because she believed she would see them all again after she passed. Like you said, it's sad that someone would lose their will like that, but it speaks to the power of the relationships you build when those people being gone takes all the color out of your life.
Yea that's exactly what's happening. They were married for around 70 years. I can't imagine how tough it is losing that person after so long

One of my friends since elementary school lost his dad two years ago. Just a few months later his mom got sick with a really bad infection in her lungs and passed on. The doctors said that she waited too long to get medicated. She told him that she just didn't want to keep going without their dad. It really hurt him, like unrepairably; because he thought it meant that he wasn't worth sticking around for. But I think he's in a good place now. He wound up moving across country.
I REALLY want one of those houses on the cover of the new Modest Mouse single.
That's such a fascinating picture. I stared at it for like 10 minutes then tried to figure out what the hell I was looking at. Apparently those are in Houston and the photographer has TONS of other really cool shots like that.
today a kid got a bloody nose. while helping said kid, another one put his finger in some of the blood that dropped on the floor and then PUT IT IN HIS MOUTH. what in the heck

If you can't see what another person's blood tastes like while in school, when can you? That's your time for self-exploration.
I'd like to formally petition that corporatehippie keeps his new name for the remainder of eternity (perhaps dropping the "e" at the end). I find it to be most excellent.

“Music has always been a matter of Energy to me, a question of Fuel. Sentimental people call it Inspiration, but what they really mean is Fuel. I have always needed Fuel. I am a serious consumer. On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio.” - Hunter Thompson
