Before I forget, I love the Bonnaroo/Coachella March Madness but my favorite is the Loudwire Metal brackets, where your favorite metal records go head to head.
If you haven't seen it .. I suggest you do. Vote please but we all know Slayer is gonna take the trophy home this year.
Surfbum lives such a vastly different life than my own.
We all live lives that are quite different. Its awesome that even though most of us are so different, we share a deep appreciation and love for music, and festivals, and all of that.
It is interesting, though, that you would point me out specifically. Not good or bad, just interesting....

You just told a story about bribing someone with 500 dollars or something because you were having loud sex with your friend.
I just got a haircut and then went to the cafe to read outside.
Thats not an accurate depiction of the events, but I see your point.
EDIT: I just went back and re read what I wrote, and it seems as though the biggest point of the story is cloudy, and easily misunderstood. The noise complaints were her walking around, watching tv, basically living her life. They complained incessantly about her walking up and down the stairs etc. They live DOWNSTAIRS for crying out loud.
Maybe had she put in the soundproofing that was required with wood flooring, they would hear much less. You also said that you were having loud, rough sex. I love me some loud rough sex, but to be loud when you have failed to provide any sound barriers is just very inconsiderate. Of course they should expect to hear some noise living downstairs, but it sounds like they have a neighbor that has zero respect for her neighbors right for having peace in their own home, and they hear much more than what a downstairs neighbor should be expected to.
I'm sorry for my earlier cattiness. I still think your friend sounds like a nightmare of a neighbor and you were so pleased with yourself for your part in it, but I didn't have to be a bitch about it.

Just a few minutes ago we were doing a project where we were looking at the states. My 4 year old said, "Let's go to Hawaii!" I said, "OH I'd LOVE to go to Hawaii but it's a long way away and very expensive." He said, "Mom, use your imagination to go to Hawaii! Everything can be just how you like it when you use your imagination." Man, kids are awesome.

Its all good, I didn't take offense. People get in moods, and I can be a lot to take sometimes.
As far as the soundproofing, there IS a soundproof there, just not the approved one. Plus, in her bedroom, there are not the wood floors. It wouldn't matter what the floor was, they would complain. The neighbors are just old and grumpy and have nothing to do really. Denice is far from inconsiderate, she just made an easily made mistake when having some improvements to her home. It would have been unfair for her to have to replace the whole thing because of a bored, grumpy old couple complaining.
Would going to a midnight showing of a movie alone make me weird? I wish I had friends around here.
Dont know if you went, but I go to stuff alone all the time. Movies, dinner, breakfast, brunch, concerts. It's all good. I get to do and see what I want!
I love that I can come on here at any time, of any day, and then leave with a smile on my face, and music in my heart I don't wanna go back and look at the countdown right this second, but it's getting close folks!! 75(?) more days!! it's so close, i can almost feel the gritty dirt in my mouth from all the dust, and the burn on my shoulders from the sun..
I just want it to be JUNE! right this VERY instant. I'm going absolutely insane waiting. I just got my confirmed days off of work, so now it's REAL. I'm going to Bonnaroo. For the first time.

I saw a movie by myself once and it was pretty great!
In related news, I would like one of Booger's t-shirts from Revenge of the Nerds: "Gimme head til I'm dead". haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahaha! (Sorry for use of the "b" word, Phi)

no does not.
i will never understand everyone's aversion to doing stuff alone.
i loooove going to the movies alone. no one to worry about when to go, what to see, where to sit....and i usually pick some random ass time and have often been the only one in the theater b/c no one in SA likes indie films.
of course i would never turn down a friend who wanted to come with me to do something, but i will always be happy doing things on my own! (cause i'm the best duh, hahahahaha )

Does anyone else ever come to the realization that they're dancing in the middle of their living-room, and not remember how long they've been going? (4 songs my GF says...felt like I just started!) One of my favorite feelings ever! (This may just be short-term, corn-related, memory loss...but if so, add it to the list of reasons I love corn!)
