Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
I listed my Foo Fighters tickets for the DC show on Craigslist. I just received this message. " I'm interested in trading 420." If I'm reading that right I was just offered drugs in exchange for the tickets. And in a duh moment, when I tried to forward the email to my wife, I accidentally sent it back to the person.
Damn.. you're selling? A good friend is going and has been trying to get me to with her. I was (kinda) seriously looking into it partly because I knew you and Andrea were going. Sad news!
We may keep them. I put them up because we've had a lot of repairs to pay for lately on cars and household stuff. But the 420 is the only offer so far.
today COULD be the last cold day of winter in MN. high of 15 today then 38 40 39 47 52 52 41 38 44.
Think I'm going to cut my hair off and shave my beard after work today, small victories in the north are all we get
Is it bad that I consider 52 degrees to be cold
no it's not. to me it's like the glass half full or empty. it's about how you got there, in nov, yea i will think 50 is chilly too. but after being under 20 for a few months 50 is warm

I shaved my beard off last week to give the finger to Winter; this year Winter was a weak little turd and I did not want to give the puny f*cker the satisfaction of thinking I needed it. The beard was a good one, though - starting to get some nice salt and pepper streaks going around weeks five to eight. Sigh, see you next fall, taliban-style beard.

you're right on with everything you said. weak winter, it can fuck off now, try again next year bitch
if I have to talk about the weather any more I am going to scream.
At least your weather is constant and predictable. We were in the 80s yesterday... the 80s!! Back to the forties we go. It wouldn't be so bad if it would just stay either warm or cold. I hate this flip-flop-ADD weather we have.

this is the last discussion I will have about the weather.
it was about -10 yesterday. it'll be 40 tomorrow. that's a 50 degree difference. it's not constant and predictable.

Its cold. Not warm and then cold, its fucking cold and colder. Your point is invalid.
It's a temperature anomaly map (departure from average), and it's in Fahrenheit.
True, but not having the average temperature displayed makes it pretty useless.
I wouldn't say it's useless. It gives you perspective on how much colder/warmer last month was with respect to what one might expect. "Cold" is a relative term that depends on location. For the month of February, a "cold" temperature for someone living in upstate NY might be 0 F, whereas a "cold" temperature for someone living in southern Florida might be 50 F.
Edit: Added the average temperature map to provide additional perspective.

ok now you're just wrong. you don't think we're going to be warm going from 0-40 in a day? our bodies are so acclimated to cold temp that anything approaching 40 is warm to us. so don't say her point is invalid, it's not :-)

I have purposefully not mentioned weather because even I was getting tired of complaining about it.
yep, that's how I feel. and I'm sick of hearing north vs south on weather talks and blah blah blah - because we're all used to something different. there's no point to discuss whether or not it really is cold or not to one person vs. how another person feels about it. it's driving me crazy. (here, facebook, snapchat, twitter... it's been everywhere.) the one time I bitched about the weather was because I didn't know it snowed and walked outside in flats and it covered my basically bare feet in snow.
so anyway, I'll be in knoxville in 3 weeks. that's pretty exciting.

To a certain point, I agree - but anytime it drops below 10°C here, people start whinging about how "frosty" it is. They love to describe it as freezing, even though it hasn't actually been cold enough to snow in Sydney in about 200 years (and that was a dusting). After 12 years in New England, including 3 in the mountains of New Hampshire, I can't *not* roll my eyes at least a little.
I will say the one place it can get truly cold in Sydney is indoors, because so few buildings are insulated.
