Haha, inforoo is surprisingly mature and cultured. I really love me some golf (because I grew up playing it and now I gamble on it.) plus, golf is a big southern thing.
how about Jordan fuckin Speith right now, holy shit you guys. where are the golfers around here?
haven't you also referred to baseball as "snoreball" ?
Wait though, I'm in that boat. The thing about watching golf versus baseball ON TELEVISION is that there is steady action with Golf because there are so many different people playing the course that they can cut back and forth between players and it keeps it interesting, but there is just wayyyy too much downtime when watching baseball on tv. If we are talking about watching it in person, there's no way I'd go to a golf tournament but I'd go to the second half of a baseball game.

baseball is snoreball, and yes, if you don't like golf, it's boring to watch. but if you do you can appreciate it 1000 times more. and yes even i take naps watching golf, doesn't mean i don't like watching it. tiger is my fav athlete out there

yea going to golf live kinda sucks just cuz yea, lots of waiting. but i was front rope to watch tiger hit a drive and wow, it's just unreal. ryder cup is here next year. signed up to be a volunteer (which you have to pay like $250 to be), but recently got the e mail that i'm on the waiting list
I don't like sports that won't allow me, the spectator, to be drunk and belligerent during all aspects of play.
you can be drunk, just preferred not belligerent at a golf event, sorry :-(
Which is exactly why I don't like golf. I appreciate the practice and concentration that goes into, though. Just wish they could do it under the pressure of a thousand people screaming terrible things at them.
I never watch golf other than the occasional masters Sunday but the other day I randomly decided to watch the par 3 contest. I turned on my tv just in time to see Jack Nicklaus get his first ever ace at Augusta. That was kinda cool.

my wife works at a research lab at a children's hospital. When it was getting setup, she told me that "it's being partially funded by donations from bubba watson and some guy named ping." I had to explain to her that Ping was a golf company.
also, disc golf>>regular golf. cheaper to play, fewer rules. no dress code.

I think that's a major AZ thing. My friend who moved here from AZ (and is moving back soon) is a disc golf FANATIC. Before I knew him (and followed is 8,000 disc golf posts on IG), I didn't even know what it was! There are some courses up here apparently, but I have never heard anyone else reference it. He has gotten others into it, however, and there is a group of them who go regularly.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

You just don't have enough stoner/burnout friends apparently!
My cousin is PE teacher at a high school. So for family gatherings, he often gets to bring their disc golf baskets for us to use. Our family can get pretty competitive, but it's always fun

yeah, its pretty popular out here in AZ, probably because you can play it year round (which is also why we have a bajillion regualr golf courses too).
The reason I got into in the first place was because the park near my house where my friends and I would go to eat corn in high school had a nice DG course, and we figured as long as we were gonna be at the course for extracurriculars, we may as well learn how to play. I've been into it ever since. It does have the stoner stereotype, but there are a lot of people who take it pretty seriously and have a big collection of different discs. You should try it out! Not nearly as steep a learning curve at regular golf, very laid back, and can accommodate larger groups of people.

yeah I play a lot of ultimate too. i switched over from soccer because there's less injury risk, and playing soccer on the concrete they call fields out here sucks.

I've played a lot of informal pick-up frisbee with friends the past, but last year was my first experience playing organized ultimate in a league. It took several weeks to get used to the various formations and techniques, but for the most part I really enjoyed it. Most likely playing again this summer.

yea the learning curve is what gets people. my parents started me in golf at like the age of 10 and even at 28 i'm not great golfer (about low 90s, sometimes in the 80s). it def takes time, but starting at 10 you can just hack around for a couple years before actually figure out what you're trying to do
apparently the third man rolling records store was in minneapolis yesterday. how the fuck did I not know?! and the record store is like 5 blocks from my place. and they'll be out tonight, but while I'm at work. so many tears.

yeha I always played pick up and stuff in college, and joined an ultimate league a couple years ago after realizing I was going ot hurt myself if I kept playing soccer. Once you get the lingo (breakside, force, etc..) and learn the basic strategy it is so much fun. plus our leagues are beer leagues, so it's a very social event that isn't taken too seriously. the more you play, the more fun it gets, imo.

Your frisbee leagues sound very similar to the summer league here. There are varying levels of ability, experience, and competitiveness, but in the end everyone plays to have fun. And teams frequently go out for drinks and food after the games.

I'm six years older than you, and let me tell you that at your age I was the same level as you, maybe a little more consistently in the high 80s. And all of a sudden when I turned 29 a light switch went off, I'm now consistently in the low 80s, I have shot a few rounds in the 70s, had 3 rounds where I had 4 birdies...it just keeps getting better.

nice! yea i've yet to break 80, i shot 82 at a somewhat easy course in iowa when i was like 18 lol. i would love to be consistent low/mid 80s, maybe this is my year. doesn't help that in MN i can only play 6 months a year
This morning I was getting ready for work, I hear my roommate's truck pull up and see her walk up the stairs. I say good morning, and she responds with "I did anal last night and now my butt really hurts. I feel like I'm gonna shit everywhere. And I farted when I was giving him head. I feel so gross."
Good morning to you too, my friend. Good morning to you too.
Idk what would be worse: If she farted while blowing him BEFORE anal, or she blew him after anal
Either way, it's Hardees level gross. Happy Friday!
