I think billybaroo and chicojuarz should take a road trip. Perhaps this Friday. To maybe, perhaps, South Carolina. The route takes them right thru Knoxville, so they could pick up Dave Maynar. I think this is a fantastic idea. I think this needs to happen.
If by some chance there is a meetup in SC let me know!
And every dude between 30-35 on this board went through a Limp Bizkit phase. Theres a shitty nu metal band for every age demographic!
Boom na da mmm dum na ema. Da DOOM na da mmm dum NA ema. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM na damm dum na ema.
I loved the Freak on a Leash video. Korn was definitely my go to nu-metal band. I liked Limp Bizkit and the others, but Korn was were my love of it grew.
Shit, I might have to listen to Life Is Peachy and Follow the Leader tomorrow to see how they've held up to my ear.
And if you weren't doing that sick scat breakdown from Freak on a Leash, pretend I'm not here.

I was. That band was everywhere in my hometown. Lots of kids wearing Jnkos with Korn patches back in the 90s.

Jesus, I forgot about Jnkos.
You think they still make those? Maybe they're out of production and highly collectible/valuable among enthusiasts.
I love the image in my head of people scouring flea markets to find the hidden gems.
Phi, can't say I'm shocked. Did you catch Limp Bizkit on their recent tour?

When I was in 7th grade I had a crush on an 8th grade girl. Nothing ever happened except for me staring longingly across the classroom at her thinking of excuses to talk to her. The next year she went off to high school and I was left to stare at all of the other girls in my class.
That is until the next year when I ran into her and her 9th grade boyfriend at the movies. He was had spiked hair, a Slipknot shirt, a chain wallet and the biggest fucking JNCOs ever made. You could've smuggled a side of beef in those things. I stammered out a "hello" and ran away. She had grown up and found a real man to be with and I didn't stand a chance.
I think in some ways I'm still trying to be as cool as that guy.

I'm pretty sure every dude on this board under 30 went through a Powerman 5000 phase.

I missed this phase. I do remember a few get togethers in late high school years with Follow The Leader as part of the soundtrack. It got to where I kinda enjoyed it for certain occasions. Never dug the Bizkit.

Can anyone who has stayed in Louisville recommend a decent hotel that ISN'T crazy expensive (i.e. Galt, Brown, etc)? Air BnB is an option as well, but it seems to be lacking truly private rooms (not wanting to stay in someone's spare bedroom).
Odd question coming from me, but a few of you have stayed in Louisville quite a bit so hoping someone can help out!
my friend found it a few years ago and she saved it wrong and it's driving her crazy. I don't recognize it at all.
I have soundhound and shazam'ed it and neither knew what it was. So the Jay Electronica - Act 1: Eternal Sunshine (The Pledge) isn't what that really is? That is what iTunes says it is...

nope, that's what she originally saved it as on her itunes, but it's incorrect. and we've tried every song lookup available and can't quite figure it out!

I stayed at the Brown for 80 bucks one night on a Priceline special.

Most popular dude on campus is in the intro class that I'm a GA for. How about that.
What position does he play?
White rapper.
In general, nobody gives a shiz about athletics here. We don't have a football team, and last baseball season was the first time we had a men's team win something on the national level.
Yesterday I went to the bathroom at work and there was a man peeing at the urinal with both hands on his hips. That is a confidence I will never know.
I love doing that, but people often look at you like your insane. As is the usual case when breaking the mold and forging your own new path for others to follow if they dare.
