There's a mouse in my apartment. But he's a ballsy one. He just casually walked across the doorway of the bedroom, sniffed a sock, stared at me for a couple seconds, then kept on walking casually.

I named it Basil. We're gonna be best friends.
Are you getting enough interaction with real humans during your funemployment? #worriedaboutyou
hahaha I started work on Saturday. This is normal behavior. I just really like animals.
And I miss my dog. Not having a dog is really weird and I don't like it. Just craving animal contact.

I've been on 2 dates with someone I am really enjoying getting to know. First date, Robert Plant concert. Second was just lunch. She is closing on a new condo tomorrow and my question is:
Would sending a congratulations flower delivery to her work be a good or bad thing? I ask because although I'm sure she would appreciate the sentiment, I'm not so sure she would want the questions at work. Thoughts?

I wouldn't send them to work for that reason. Can you send something to her new condo?

Agreed on this. I have multiple female friends that hate the idea of getting things at work, so if you don't know one way or the other, the best bet is to not do it.

After only two dates, no on the work. Send them to the new condo.
Thanks for the input. I was leaning that way anyways - she works in a VERY social industry.
She won't be moving into the new condo for about a month and a half, so I'll have to get creative on where to bring or send them. She is super busy tomorrow and I leave for 10 days early Thursday morning.
But again, thanks for the input!
We will be hanging out again anyways, she's my date for Fools Paradise
Local DJ was arrested for putting on NWA's "Fuck Tha Police" while the cops were trying to break up the crowd at a bar. I don't know why I find this so funny. (The situation that is, not that the dude got arrested)

I definitely wouldn't want to get them at work - and after just a couple dates...idk, sending flowers seems intense (but I am really not into material gift giving in general, so maybe don't listen to me on that part). If you want to give her flowers, I suggest just giving them to her the next time you guys go on a date if that'll be in the next few days. With a simple little note that says "congrats on the condo!" The sentiment is still sweet but comes off as not as planned/pre-meditated.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

Hey y'all. Just popping around to a few of the more popular threads to cordially invite you to participate in the 3rd Annual (Un)Official March Madness Pool. It's totally free and runs on ESPN. Come over and beat us (it's not difficult). Brackets are now live and will lock on Thursday at Noon with the first game. It'll be (kinda) fun, promise.

I think I seen UNC get a game at Raleigh, which is close enough.
Yep. I could be wrong, but it seems like they get the homer treatment all too often, while Kentucky (for one) always seems to get sent all over the place even when they are a high seed.

On this day four years ago, I had some pretty decent floor seats for Radiohead in Phoenix. I didn't go though, because my daughter was born. (5 days late. And if you do the backward math thats like in the June 9-12 range. Just saying). I spent last night making her pink cupcakes, with pink frosting and pink sprinkles, because that's what she said she wanted for her birthday. Today she picked out a pink dress and pink leggings to wear to school, despite, because her daycare has spring break tomorrow and Friday, today being their wear green for St. Patrick's day theme. And her declaration that purple is her favorite color.
I am constantly being entertained, humbled, and forced to better myself everyday because of her. Though I was a reluctant, terrified, broke grad student that thought the timing couldn't have been worse (not just because of Radiohead) it has been an absolutely wonderful four years of fatherhood. And the cupcakes turned out pretty good too.
