That drives me nuts- especially when both sides of the couple are active so you aren't even sure who you are conversing with. I am friends with at least 3 accounts like that.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
Anyone else get annoyed by couples who share Facebook pages?

I saw a comedian whose quote was something along the lines of those couples driving him crazy because he really wanted to know which one fucked up and necessitated the single account.

I saw this as well and wonder if it is trust issues or maybe one isn't really on facebook and so it is an usies facebook, either way it is annoying. bonzai I have a couple of active on facebook couples like this as well. Just last week one couple posted something about their dad being sick. I am only friends with the girl in the relationship since I have known her since high school and never met the husband. I am not sure if it was her dad or his and they didn't even the do the "this is Dumbass #1, my dad..." That type of shit needs clarification.
Anyone here have experience driving for Uber/Lyft? Thoughts?
I've driven for Lyft here and there for about a year now. I've considered signing up for Uber too and doing both but they do a more thorough inspection and I haven't bothered scheduling an appointment.
It's mostly fairly enjoyable. People are fairly nice most of the time. At least during the semester rides are fairly easy to come by on campus at any time of the day or night, but rides for students are often very short under 5$ rides. Around town there is a bigger gap between rides but the average distance and therefore pay is higher. I generally average about 10$ /hour not including gas and mileage on my car which is part of the reason I have been doing it less lately. Also being a super introvert after being at school or work the last thing I want to do is pick up random strangers. I know I could do better during the busier times of Thur-Sat 10pm-3am but I am an old man who likes to be in bed before midnight if i can help it and I generally don't love the super drunk riders.
It's a good way to make a little extra cash, but don't expect to get rich off it. Lyft is the easier of the two to get signed up for so start with them and see how you like it and you can sign up for Uber later if you do. Lyft drivers get paid a little more per ride than Uber, but generally there are more rides available on Uber. In Tucson it's fairly 50/50 but other places it's more drastic.
I just realized HAIM went from an afternoon tent act in 2013 to top 10 on the lineup without releasing any new music, wtf
None stop touring, Dave Grohl saying he wants his girls to be just like them, super poppy music that has moved up the chart and a really great publicist.

Also they open for Taylor Swift, right?
Idk but if they are, then definitely that. Add it to the list!
haven't been an apple guy for several years and am not familiar with the iOS update, but the whole removal of the headphone jack on the new 7 is wild. i'm not an apple hater, and i know there is a dongle or whatever you can use to plug in regular headphones, but i still think its a stupid idea.
the 3.5mm headphone plug just works. it's always worked, it's a great connector that has been around forever. and what is the one thing people bitch about with their phones more than anything? battery. so do we really want to have to charge our headphones too? i don't. the main reason i couldn't stick with the smart watch thing was because it's just one more thing I have to charge every night. this is the same reason I don't use bluetooth headphones (and loss of fidelity, but I know most people don't care about that).

It all boils down to money. Remove the aux port, now you have bluetooth headphone and you have NO pay cubes/squares of any sort which makes you at the mercy of Apple Pay. And if you lose those fancy Apple wireless earbuds, or are like me and can't use the type that they create, or if you just want decent ones that aren't shitty, you will have to buy that Apple lightening jack (or dongle thing) to aux splitter. YAY MONEY!

to be fair, the 7 will include the dongle thing. but also to be fair, we all know we'd lose it and have to buy a new one.
anyway i don't hate apple but am firmly the the cult of google. anyone who wants to switch i will share with you our dark ways.

I know not what this dongle thing that you talk about is, but I am looking at the specs right now on the iPhone 7 specs page and according to it the external buttons/connectors are: Home/Touch ID sensor; Volume up/down; Built in Speaker; On/Off Sleep/Wake; Lightning connector; built-in microphone; built-in stereo speaker. There is no mention of any other port or way to connect your earbuds.

I caved and preordered a new 7. My lease is ending in a few weeks and given my other choice is now on recall, I just went with it to try it out for a year. The headphone jack bothered me but reality hit that I never listen to my phone when it's charging and I'm sure cheaper alternatives (headphone wise) will be there in the future. I also didn't pay an absurd amount of money on headphones. If I did, I'd probably have gone with something else. I haven't even gotten the phone yet and I can assure you that I've lost the dongle.

I don't know if you figured this out by know, but the dongle is a little connection piece that will allow you to connect your regular headphones through the charging port. The problems being that it's one more thing to lose and you can't charge and listen to music at the same time with this method.

I knew that they were making a connector, I did not know it was called a dongle. Will this dongle work with any aux port item? Or only headphones? I don't know the science behind it. But I agree, it's just one more thing to lose and have to spend money to replace. Like I originally said it is all about MO' MONEY, MO' MONEY, MO'!

Exact opposite here. Uber, so easy to sign up. Never even talked to a person. Lyft you had to have your car inspected etc.
You can make a pretty penny if you do bar closings. Plus uber will do price guarantees during certain hours.

As I sit here drinking a PBR, I find it near-hilarious that the general manager of a complexly and renowned cocktail-centric speakeasy-style bar just hired me.
