No matter how bad your day has been, remind yourself that you’re not a former A list actor performing comedy in a second rate club in a fourth rated city.

E: fun punk rock fact - the Val Kilmer Top Gun character “Iceman” was based on Deniz Tek from Radio Birdman. If you’re scratching your head and saying “who?”, I suggest you get on that.

On a f*cking Thursday nonetheless.
You just shut that snark down. Val Kilmer made Real Genius. He's a made man for life.

For every Real Genius, there’s Hot Shots: Part Deux. Pretty sure that’s where this all started to go horribly horribly wrong.

Anyone have any recommendations for Huntsville or the general Smoky Mountains/Pigeon Forge area? Looking for favorite restaurants, bars, activities; really anything you should do when visiting the area.
I would've dropped this in the travel thread but it's for work so I wanted as many people as possible to see it.
I'm listening to Kanye's discography for the second time. As I listen to it, I try to make a list of my favorite tracks, but it's turning out to be more difficult than I had originally thought. So many great songs.

My first soap suds enema came at the hands of my grandmother in Huntsville. I was 5 yrs old and was staying with her for the day. I had remained home from school due to illness. I remember that I was over her lap as she was filling the red bulb syringe from a pan of milky white sudsy water. I don't remember the entire enema, but recall that it was very uncomfortable. I recall her inserting the enema nozzle in me several times. I would cry and beg her to take it out. I cried and said I had to poop, but she continued to refill the bulb syringe until she thought it was time to let me sit on the potty chair. I remember sitting naked on the potty chair as grandma waited for me to release the enema. After that I remember her repeating it. That was my recollection of my first soap suds enema...

But what about your last soap suds enema?
I hung my bag from the shower rod about 6 feet off the floor and got on my knees in the tub. I lubed up my kb-3 tip and inserted and took some nice relaxing breaths. I like a nice fast flow when I take my fills. I have found that if I try to go slow the initial cramping is just too much after about a quart. I opened full flow and started to feel the pressure build then a small cramp and a nice sensation of myself being filled. I took the whole two quarts and just stayed still in the tub. I'd say maybe 6-7 minutes in I had a super cramp and didn't even bother to try to get to the toilet. I blew the nozzle out of my ass and a lot of water! The suds were flying.
After this initial explosion the cramps subsided and I cleaned everything off with the showerhead while I was waiting for another wave of cramps. This time when they came I was sitting on the expulsion throne and thank the lord for that! A massive rush and more cramps then more and oh my god! I sat there for a good 10 minutes while waves of cramps rippled through my body and nice long expulsions that came every few minutes. The cramps felt good, not like you have a stomach ache but rather like anal orgasm contractions.

I played in soccer tournaments every year in Huntsville. The only things I remember are the Nasa Space center (cool) and the highways (really shitty). Otherwise I just saw soccer fields, ate at chain restaurants with the team, and terrorized hotel staff with juvenile shenanigans.
Pigeon Forge is white trash disneyland and there is nothing redeeming about it. there is a pancake shop on every corner, borderline racist dinner shows, tourist bullshit like Ripley's believe it or not, etc. Gatlinburg has a lot of the same trappings, but has always seemed like the Target to Pigeon Forge's Wal-Mart. Pigeon forge seems to be overrun with go-cart tracks, mini-golf, and carney rides. Downtown/Ober Gatlinburg area is where there is skiing is, and there are more "rustic" and "appalachia" type shops with wood carvings, antiques, and other Appalachian kitsch. I know a few times a year there are classic car and/or motorcycle rallys and it is actually kinda cool to get a spot on a patio and drink a beer and watch the cars drive by. Typically when I lived in Knoxville and we went out to that area, we would just rent a cabin out in the middle of nowhere and have a wilderness bender (lots of "cabins" are really nice houses with hot tubs, indoor pools, pool tables, etc.) or go hike the AT/great smoky mountains.
Despite the touristy shiz, there is a lot of outdoors stuff to do, scenic drives through the mountains, drive/bike/hike the Cade's Cove loop (a valley in GSMNP that was a settlement area).

Thanks! I am fully prepared for Myrtle Beach in the mountains when we go to The Smokies. The show is definitely going to focus a lot on the adventure activities like hiking and probably a helicopter ride or something. I need a couple food stops around there and then I think we'll be in good shape. Thank for the heads up on the, uh, insensitivity still present in the attractions.
I had friends in Hunstville a few years ago and they all report that it's pretty cool now so that's good! The rocket center is 100% getting featured because obviously.

Smoky Mountains - There is an abundance of stuff to do there, but most of what we typically do is on the south side (North Carolina) of the park and that area.
1) Whitewater Rafting - This is kind of a must if you haven't ever done it. You can do the Ocoee River on the Tennessee side with the large multi-people rafts or you can go to the Nantahala Gorge (Bryson City, NC) on the North Carolina side and do one or two man funyaks which are blowup kayas (the strong ones, not like beach rafts). This is as fun of an adrenaline rush as there is.
2) See Waterfalls - Some require hikes, and others are right along roadways. There are dozens.
A) Mingo Falls - This is on the Cherokee Indian Reservation in Cherokee, NC. There is a lower falls you walk up steps to see, and then there is a trail to the left side of the main falls to get you to the Upper Mingo Falls. This is an easy and excellent hike:
There are dozens of others you can see near to wherever you are.
3) Horseback Riding - You can do a guided ride up to a ridge at Queen Farm Ridging Stables (Waynesville, NC which is halfway between Cherokee & Asheville) for about $25.00 or so. It's about a 2 hour run up the side of a mountain and to the top of a ridge and back down again. It's pretty exciting.
5) Craft Beer - Asheville is sort of the new south capital for breweries. You'll find them all over the place, and you'll want to hit a bunch of them if you are a beer drinker.
6) Mountain Coasters - These are one car 5 minute rides through the mountains. They're not like pure adrenaline coasters, but there are a couple of them similar to Mystic Mountain in Ocho Rios, Jamaica that you'll enjoy.
Those are just some of the fun things there are to do up there (obviously depending on the time of year you go). Barber's Apple Orchard is a cool place to visit as well (Waynesville/Maggie Valley). You can go snowboarding or skiing in the winter just like you can raft and horseback ride in the spring, summer and fall. We find the Gatlinburg side to be a little on the redneck side (think Branson, MO) compared to W NC which has more culture. But all sides of the park are beautiful. I hope you have a great time.
