Having a procedure done tomorrow so I have to fast today. Only thing I can't eat is jello and broth. And what do you know someone brings in all this good food into the office, sons of bitches. Also FYI don't ever buy garlic chicken broth, shit is disgusting.
You're just too young to grasp how stylin' I really was. All the boys wanted to do me when I was 5. Actually the girls did too. My haircut was confusing.
Dr. Joe has inspired me. I'm just about to that awful i between long and short hair phase, and I've decided to let it go. Long hair Hakuna's return for Roo 2015 has been set.

Meanwhile, I spend every day cursing my long hair.

The past week at my non-music related job of the jobs I have, I have met bands and it's totally paid off. Last Sunday I met the guys in Needtobreathe and they guest listed me for their show, where I then met Foy Vance (who opened for them) while buying beer. He's coming back into town next week and wants to meet up at the fest where he's opening up for Ray LaMontagne and I work at that fest. Then today I met the manager of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, and he guest listed me for the show tomorrow with Warpaint in town.

Awww yeah networkingggggggg!
What is this non music related job you have??
I work in admissions at a pretty famous museum in town, so it's definitely a place people end up visiting while they're in town! Part of the 3rd Transformers movie was filmed here (But that was before I was working there) And then I work at a radio station for my other job! and I love it!

And all I ever wanted was an objective, honest review of BaconLand! Is that too much to ask?!!!! I'm typing so hard right now I might break my gotdamn laptop, whatever this thing is, HP something or another.

!!!!!!!!!
When I went, they were sold out of the Bacon Flight, but I did get a grilled cheese with bacon. For $8, that thing was pretty weak. I'm not even sure it had two slices of bacon on it. Only ate there once. My friends and I bought a combined 6 or 7 amish pretzels though. I can without a doubt say that those are the best pretzels I've ever eaten.

Ok, I did get a similar report from custeph in that regard. Someone on FB said they got food poisoning eating there. So, with the little I know so far, it seems BaconLand failed. Sadness.
My hair is the longest it has been in over 15 years.
Damn hippies.
So, I've cleaned my dirty clothes, showered multiple times, rinsed the Bonnaboogers from my sinuses, and caught up on sleep (mostly). All I've got left is some Bonnadirt under my big toenails and memories. But oh what toenail dirt memories.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

BaconLand was a total fail. We got the $8 grilled cheese and it was the same thickness/quality of the $1 Shakedown grilled cheese, with the addition of a pathetic amount of bacon inside. Didn't go back to try anything else. I did notice the line got shorter and shorter all weekend.
Pulled pork, mac & cheese, and kimchi on a roti roll.
I thought they were a touch smaller this year. But then, I didn't get the best look at it as I was expereincing a soul-stroking mouth orgasm and was not paying the closest attention.
I'm still riding the high from Bonnaroo. I wonder when it will truly hit me that this relocation is happening. My luck I will be sitting at a KOA in South Dakota before I fully realize that I can't just hop down to Nashville for shows when someone I wanna see is in town. Wonder if there will be decent shows in anchorage throughout the year...
i don't know if you like the alabama shakes (i've seen them thrice now and each time they've been pretty rad to baller) but i just saw on my fb feed that they're coming to anchorage on sept 13.
The burritos, samosas, and Asian plates are severely underrated here. There were also these bomb ass tofu/chicken/or (?!?) subs that I found that took my prize for the weekend. In fact, I searched around for 30 minutes for it on Sunday, just because.
I think the quinoa bowl I had from Goatacado was my favorite food of the weekend. Their mac and cheese was killer, too. (thanks kdharvey!) Kev got me samosas once but they just weren't Samosaman. Amish pretzels were still great. I never did get a donut this year. I was super disappointed that Eatbox didn't have burritos again even though they were listed on the menu.
