opened up my timehop today to find a lovely photo of me & my former dog with the caption of "so excited to bring ___ and my's new dog home today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
he took the dog when we broke up. it was 3.5 years ago and I'm still sad about it.
I kept the dog after a break up. Sorry you had to be reminded. There was no way I was letting go of my pooch.
I kept one of the dogs. The one that picked me and I ended up adopting.
I scheduled mine less than a week in advance. Between scheduling it and taking it my uncle passed away. So you're eons ahead of where I was when I took it. I actually got decent scores all things considered, but still. Just make sure you know how to do all kinds of math on the computer calculator. I couldn't for the life of me remember how to do some functions on that thing.

but I've got my study materials shipping my way! I just needed to schedule it, otherwise I was going to keep putting off until "tomorrow" every single day until I miss my grad school deadline. now I'll be getting my ass in gear. hopefully.
I think the math part will be easy for me - I love math and was on the math team from 8th-12th grade I took calc 3 for fun in college. because I'm a psycho.

Just got off the phone with my brother in Iraq... I thought it was pretty weird I got a phone call from him because he usually only texts and emails while over there.. Very rarely calls on the phone... Anyway, he told me that my parents have been keeping it from me; but my dad has been having pains from his right side down to his testicles for the last week. Apparently yesterday he went in for a bunch of painful tests and today is peeing blood. He told me that they don't want to discuss it with anyone and he had to beat it out my mom because she was acting weird. He said I am not allowed to bring it up with anyone either and the test results won't be back for almost a month... This day took a pretty dark turn. Really worried and feeling pretty crappy and what's more I can't even really talk about it with anyone.

Talk to your Mom, I am sure she feels the same way, and neither of you should feel alone right now. I hope the tests come back better than expected.

Sh*t, well at least you know. The best thing you can do now is just be there for him knowing damn well that's he's going through a rough time. If a loved one is sick, it's really important you're there to keep their spirits up. Best wishes my man.

Echoing what others have said. Hope everything turns out alright and get in touch with your mom....you can comfort each other. Health issues are always a scary thing but do your best to stay positive.

Thanks for the kind words to everyone. I am going to talk to her later tonight. I spoke to my ex gf whose a nurse and she says it could be anything from a hernia to a prostate cancer.. Won't know anything until the tests come back in really. Definitely has me pretty shaken.
Having finally gone for the first time this year, it brings me great joy to start seeing people buying their tickets and making their plans for their first Roo. It makes me remember the feelings of excitement and nervousness and trying to get informed as possible. It makes me remember reading every single FAQ thread on this board. It makes me remember all the planning that I put into it. It makes me remember getting there and thinking "wow, I'm really here" and smiling.
Random and just curious but did you go with a group this year? Will you be going with a group in 2015? I ask because my first year I went with a group of friends, people I really truly love. Despite some disagreements it was a mostly magical time. The next year they couldn't make it so I went alone. Kinda scary. As soon as I landed on the farm I met zeljocotha. 5 cars down.
Without getting to wordy - I started my journey alone that year. Within minutes of reaching my destination I was among friends.

Which was awesome cause I too went solo that year! Its hard not to find family when you're home! I will be missing roo again this year but I will be there in spirit!

I was forced to regain consciousness at 530 this morning to work the morning shift. I would of thought waking up and puking my guts out at 230am might of cleaned out the system enough to prevent the hangover. No such luck
