Just noticed this album that got quite a lot of play when I was in college had its 10th anniversary recently. Wanted to shout it out since it's still one of the best albums that came out of the Minneapolis scene while I was living there - it recreates the feel of 90s R&B exceptionally well without ever feeling like it's pointing towards nostalgia. And the songs are pretty good too.
oh and of course I just found out there's a 10th anniversary show for this happening at First Avenue NYE weekend. now that's tempting lol.
