I missed Throwback Thursday in the office because of meetings and stupidity yesterday, so I'm taking over the ipod dock in the pit and everyone else can deal with it:

Anyone know what DJ Khaled actually does?
Besides yell? I know he doesn't make beats or rap... sooooo........ what is he doing? Is his job just to assemble rappers in a studio and then put his name on their songs? Sounds like a pretty sweet gig.

Um....yeah, this is pretty much it. He is the 'executive producer' for his albums, so I assume he just puts his money up to fund the project, and that's it. Then they bring him in for about 5 minutse, let him yell a bunch of random sh*t and he drops it into songs seemingly at random. I feel like he's the Stephen A. Smith of music. The Notorious SAS doesn't know sh*t about sh*t when it comes to sports, but he's friends with so many athletes that he's employed because he gets those handful of insider tips from players that make him seem like a good reporter. Khaled is friends with all the big time and popular rappers, so he uses them to make it seem like he's big time when in reality he doesn't do sh*t.
I'm also all about some Meek Mill. What do you think of him?
Meek Mill is definitely in my stable of hood-hop guys that I like. It's a dwindling list and to even get on it at this point is an achievement unto itself.
Haha my list is perpetually swelling. Is that normal?
Uhh, for people like us? Probably not.
Although I listen to Hot 97 (one of the big two hip-hop stations in NYC) and 90% of the stuff I hear is awful, not even good by high school Flanzo's hilariously low standards.
Well maybe just he and 2 Chainz. But my love for those who were already there only grows and that might give me the illusion of the list swelling. I saw T.I. at Music Midtown and he absolutely killed it.

This guy in my calculus class was listening to 2 Chainz the other day on his iPod. How do I know this? He was listening to it on headphones at what had to be a deafening level because people halfway across the room could make out the words.
