Maybe selfish reasons. To me, the beauty of this thread is discovering new music, not music that everyone already knows is awesome, but the deep cut albums that you've never heard of. At a point it seems like some are just posted to get likes. Although I do understand that this is the Now Playing thread, so people post what they are listening to, but it grows by three or four pages a day, and working through the repeats gets redundant at times. Just thinking outloud.

Haha, I never once have considered that people would post something to get likes. I just post whatever it is I'm listening to when I'm also on the board, jags and all.
Yeah, but by now, we all know kendrick lamar and crystal castles are fan favorite
Just using recent examples. I didn't say they should only be posted once.
I have to respectfully disagree. I didnt even listen to the Kendrick Lamar album (cause im not a huge fan of hiphop) until I saw it posted over and over again. That made me listen to it and i loved it.

I think that's valid if it's something like MMJ or Radiohead, which appeal to a wide section of people in this thread and have been posted a whole lot over an extended period of time, but newer albums that get posted a bunch push people to listen to something they maybe wouldn't have.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.
