For someone almost equally as new to Mikal Cronin as you, especially when it comes to the other folks on here, my route was: Ty Segall Band's Slaughterhouse, then Mikal Cronin, then MCII. Since you've listened to and enjoyed his third solo record, it might make more sense for you to go reverse chronologically (the opposite of what I did), if you're into that kinda thing.
edit. Alright, well, Slaughterhouse came out after his debut solo album, but whatever. The route makes more musical sense. I think you'll agree with me once you've listened to all four. There's a clear development they take, it's kinda rad.
