Punk rock died when the first kid said "Punk's not dead, punk's not dead" You know Louisville is death We've got to up and move Because the dead do not improve
Goodbye users and suckers and steady badluckers We're off to the land of club soda unbridled We're off to the land of hot middle-aged women Off to the land whose blood runneth orange
Marry me and leave Kentucky, come to Tennessee
'Cause you're the only ten I see You're the only ten I see
"Because the dead do not improve" is such a great line. I hope things did for him. RIP.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.

I tried to get multiple people on a project to just download songs they would own for free. Including me sharing all of the tracks I've downloaded from a site called Tracklib. Full songs, can create loops if you want, just one little good pyramid scheme problem -- if you un-subscribe you lose all of your credits. So you basically just paid them for no product, because 30 tracks a month adds up. (That means every day downloading a song, artistically impossible). oh so I made this because I've kinda given up on social interaction and trying to collaborate in my life. I guess money is king.

Wand—Spiders In the Rain.
I picked up the double vinyl option at their show, knowing it would be audiophile quality since it is the same number of songs as the single vinyl release. It didn’t state the weight on the album. I opened it tonight and it is THICC. Thicker than 180 gram for sure at first sight. Weighed it on my lil scale. 215 grams. I would love to tell you that there is absolutely no difference in audiophile quality vinyl because I feel like a lot of things are a scam. But this actually does sound sooooo much better than the other records I have played tonight. Zero changes in pitch or speed. Perfectly flat run. May have been worth the 40 bucks.
Also, garageland, I bought one of their little prints this show and all but the drummer signed it. I couldn't track Evan down. I got it for you. I know you are probably like me and don’t care that much about autographs, but I like asking bands like this and smaller because they seem to like it. Wand appeared to love that I was approaching each one of them to ask. They seemed genuinely appreciative that someone wanted an autograph. Cory signed the entire motherfucker like a frontman should. He was running their merch booth. So I have a little poster for you, buddy. Next time I see you.

Per usual, I’m speechless. Thank you. I’ll have to keep my eyes on upcoming stuff in Ohio before I go in hibernation for the winter.
I don’t really ask bands to sign stuff but that has to do with my punk rock roots and the artists and fans are a community vs a commodity sort of thing. That said, it’s more my anxiety that keeps me from asking more than anything and I’m always jumping on signed records and merch from bands/artists.
Hope the show was great. I’ve been seeing them for what feels like forever after that record with Ty Segall.
