I like it because it’s Pearl Jam but I don’t love it like old PJ, like they made me think I would.
Yeah, I kind of took that for pre-release hyperbole, so my expectations weren't in that arena to begin with, thankfully. Plus, I mean, let's be honest, I'm not the person I was 30 years ago - I don't expect any music to hit me the way music hit me back then.
I dig it so far, but my bar for "Pearl Jam I enjoy" is almost non-existent - I'm the guy who'll go to bat for Lightning Bolt as a really good record (except "Let the Records Play," which even I consider a whiff). Really looking forward to seeing how this stuff translates live.

I wonder if there’s anyone else in the world that listened to new Pearl Jam album, the whole Taylor Swift shit, new Nas song then Illmatic because it’s 30th anniversary and about to follow up with new High On Fire and Melvins?

Yeah or at least wait a little while to release the Anthology part and give people a chance to digest the first section of the album. Usually like to listen to an album a few times to get a full feel for how much I enjoy it but thats hard with 31 songs.
