Oh man, I love some Ministry... but this is right about where I can't stand them anymore. The four album run from Twitch until Psalm 69 was awesome, but starting here, it goes downhill quick. Haven't listened to this one in years because of that, and the only positive thing I can take out of this album when I think about it now is the cover of Lay Lady Lay. Which shouldn't work, and is one of the most out of character songs of that period for them.

Ha. I feel the same about them. I just went one more album down the line. Filth Pig is not their best work, but I think it is still good.
I think I could find myself revisiting Dark Side Of The Spoon, if only because it reintroduced some of the synth that was largely taken out of Filth Pig. As a straight rock band more or less, they didn't really do it for me. But definitely after Dark Side, it got unbearable to me... that last album (Relapse, I think?) was probably the honest to god worst album I had to have heard that year.
