So why, exactly did he get banned? Because unless I'm missing something you guys are really skirting around what happened and how long he's banned for.
He's banned for being consistently reported by many other board members and showing absolutely no interest in pulling it together. There's nothing more to it. And I'm not sure when bans became temporary. He's back already under a different name, as I'm sure you know. That's what trolls do, NoD.

If you're actually looking for specifics, we just can't do it. Individual members and their issues, are not things we're going to just copy and paste into this thread. Sorry. We've kept this board rolling long enough to where we'd hope you'd have a bit of faith on these matters. Not all ban/suspensions are based on huge egregious issues. Many of them are slow burn situations where things just pile up to the point of it not being worth babysitting anymore.

Ok, fine, if you're going to keep it up with the character assassination, I'll post with this account, which I only created because it's the only way to contact the mods (Which is the only thing I have done with it until now.)
In order for me to have some idea that I had to "pull it together", I would have to know that people had problems with my posts. Since I got the warning level because of some stupid argument with jess about 50 posts ago, I've been making some fantastic posts that everyone seemed to be enjoying. (Seriously, people loved skrillex photo of the day, which is why I kept it up for as long as I did). Look for yourself. If anyone had a problem with any specific posts, they could easily have confronted me about it, instead of this ridiculous situation where my posting is being dissected by a secret mod forum cabal without any communication with me or any indication that I was doing anything wrong other than a goofy little scarlet letter under my name. You mentioned "babysitting" in your last post. Babysitting would involve actually doing, you know, anything.
This will be my first and last post with this account, so ban it if it makes you feel better, but I am not a troll, and it's 100% absurd that my contributions to this community are completely ignored because my Irony Levels rub a few people the wrong way.

Dude, come on. After months of you spamming other threads with posts about Skrillex? If anything, emoney got people to realize having "like" or "dislike" threads with posts only going one way or the other are impossible to enforce.

No sarcasm. I don't usually do that without adding some sort of smiley face or something to indicate as such. Also, I would not use sarcasm when speaking about a significant issue. It would only diminish my ability to do so in the future. Lastly, I put a good deal of effort into not starting crap on the board. It just ends up being a headache.
As far as specifics, I had no expectation of that. As stated in my earlier post, I just wanted to know if he had been banned temporarily or permanently and a reason as to why because all we had to go on was what non-mod members had been saying. Your above statement satisfies both of those. I didn't want it to become one of those situations where things got blow up because it was a big rumorfest with no official word.

Not trying to start an argument, because you did post videos/pics of skrillex in threads to annoy people, then people gave you crap for it, everybody laughed and moved on. But it is something you did, so let's not have a selective memory.
My point was, if it's his "trolling" of the Skrillex thread that was the final straw, that's kinda weak. He got his warning level, and hasn't been a problem as far as I could tell. And the "doesn't contribute" comments confuse me, because his "essential albums" thread for new Roo acts helped me get to know pretty much all the Roo bands I hadn't heard of.
NoD I was contributing to a discussion in your thread. With other members. You act like I was the only one to make a reply in your thread about Skrillex. Emoney was purposely trolling a thread and justifies it because a few others "liked" his posts that also disliked the artists in question.
And yes at one point I did purposely post videos in a different thread only to make a point to NoD. We made an agreement and I deleted all those posts and I havent posted in that thread again. The thread in question however was the old "No Skrillex/Deadmau5/etc" thread.
And also, like ive said before, I highly doubt emoney trolling my thread had anything to do with his banning. I locked that thread weeks ago because he was the only person posting in it and trolling it.

There are people in here way more annoying than emoney. I actually get his sense of humor. That being said I think the mods do a great job 95% of the time and that's amazing for a group of enthusiasts not getting paid. They make this place enjoyable for the rest of us. I hope they would reconsider this decision and give emoney and posters like him the benefit of the doubt. Give him some specific directions and if he violates those guidelines then permanently ban him. It's silly to ban him and "force" him to literally troll under a different account. I don't think I ever read a post I would of banned him for. That being said I would make a horrible mod.
i am really glad to see those that generally disagreed with emoney's opinions come to his defense. For a long time I thought this was a place where if your opinion differed from the masses, you were ostracized for it. Over this last year or so of posting, I've realized that is untrue, and this even further invalidates that way of thinking. Kudos.

Once again what have I done to piss you off so badly recently? Other than one set of posting pictures in a thread when nodepression, emoney, yourself, and others were being little jerkstores to someone because you did not like an artist that he did? Not to mention that the first time a mod asked me to stop I did? I don't know what the quack your problem is with me but unless you can come up with something better than a divergent opinion I am not going to sweat it much. It is at least as funny to put Huey Lewis pictures in the Radiohead thread as it was for you to threadbomb Phi with Phil Collins. In fact by the amount of instant whining it created from the very same people who were doing it it is even funnier. You guys just got your jockstrap out of whack because Radiohead is a band you like.
While we are on the subject of people being jerks what about nodepression going into threads and blackmailing people that he will not threadbomb and otherwise screw up their threads if they agree to stay out of one of his. That may have been the biggest weenie move I have seen in awhile.

I'm pretty sure Bacon's point wasn't about you, so much as the process as it's been explained. Basically, what we are supposed to take from this, is that a person will be banned if enough people complain about them. So, if a group of inforoosters got together and started talking about how they disliked Flanzo, for example, and they logged enough complaints, I'd be banned.
For the record, forums get pretty boring when everyone agrees about everything all the time. That's why I never got that annoyed when Phi would come into a thread and post about Skrillex, because at least it was something to talk about/hate on.

Emoney had a legitimate suggestion (that you can turn off viewing karma points for other users, not just turn off your own) and then got banned for presenting it in a non-rainbows-and-sunshine manner.
And I'm not sure why you're linking to something NoD "did" to prove a point, either. So, after Phi posted about Skrillex in every thread for weeks/months, he decides he can just throw down boundaries and people have to adhere to them? NoD is just as crazy for thinking he can have the same thing, only in the opposite direction. Using that thread as a barometer of any kind of rational argument is like citing Rick Santorum as your barometer for rational discussions about female rights.

Not really, he started that thread and said specifically it was so he could talk about a band he liked and explicitly stay out of a thread that was designed to piss off fans of someone he likes. At that point he started getting attacked in there, and I got irritated myself.
If I started a no Bon Iver/Radiohead/Whiney Indie Crap thread do you really thin people would have stayed out of it? Nodepression got what he wanted he made a thread to antagonize people and it did. Then when someone backed off he kept on coming and as he admitted tried his best to ruin it. When he got retaliation he then started complaining to everyone involved. I linked that thread because as long as we are talking about acts of douchebaggery threatening to ruin (or stop ruining) someones thread like he did is about a 9 on my scale of measurement.
I am pretty sure emoney did not only get banned for complaining about the karma system, I would think that it is possibly his 6 months of incessant trolling that did him in at the end.

Really? Rubbing people the wrong way is not trolling. I will tell you what I do not now and will never appreciate is bullying, and when I see it I will push back, this is what ultimately irritates both Nod and Juggs. Do you really think I give a damn about Skrillex? I just hate the TML culture of dog piling on anyone with a different than inforoo mainstream opinion. Something all three of you along with some others tend to excel at.
Also this conversation is about being banned if you feel I have committed a offense serious enough to get me banned bring it out in the open or shut the fuck up about how I deserve to be banned.
