I had a dream last night that I couldn't wait for NFF and I broke into fawn and quacker's house while they weren't home so I could start partying. They were not pleased.
This means Newport can't be here soon enough!!!
Well that had to be a dream because we wouldn't be displeased as long as the menagerie stayed inside. Besides, we're always home.

I was down there on Saturday. I just asked ahead of time if I could visit, and if they were gonna be around.
Except me and Fawn did get Quacker out of the house for a little while. Ran a few errands - including the beer and liquor shopping. Team Cider, you're on your own. Team Beer and Team Capt Morgan are in damn good shape.
Two cases of Gansett tallboys, two 12 pack sampler mix from Wachusett, 12 pack of Magic Hat #9, eight six packs. Then there's the stuff Bunny is bringing, and the stuff I'm bringing from my stash (my house and Heather's apt.)
Hello Inforoo gang! So I do have a small camp gathering over at my parents' place in Jamestown. I think we might head to Quack Club Satuday night but then again I just won Blind Pilot boat tickets. So we'll see what happens. Can't wait to see everyone! Super excited for the Folk!

Now we just need a NPR live feed of Quack Club.
And Wilco sounded great last night, ftr. I'm so glad that Laminated Cat is back in the set.

While waiting in a ridiculously long line for the water taxi, in the pouring rain, someone asked me if i liked blind pilot. Next thing I know I was on their boat show sponsored by Tretorn, plus free beer! so far newport has been beautiful to me, excited for tomorrow! Any must sees early in the day?
The fest organizers should have probably called off the MMJ show after Dondante to be honest, or after the Levon Helm tribute with Brittany Howard at the very latest. But that's just me. They had to have known this was coming - lightning and torrential downpours.
It was a good show, but it created a nightmare situation with everyone trying to escape all at once in horrible weather.
Y'all, this was just THE BEST FESTIVAL, even with all the rain. Simply amazing!
Today I was blown away by New Multitudes, Gary Clark, Jr (as always!), and Of Monsters and Men who put on one of e most amazing sets of the weekend. It was even better than the Jackson Browne show where Dawes and Tom Morello guested.
Oh, and I met Dawes today in the beer prison!!! It was a pretty decent day. Big thanks to ODB whose kind, gentlemanly manners kept me from freezing to death during the show. The world needs more decent guys who voluntarily offer to help keep their friends dry during stormy weather.
Well, I'm glad they didn't call the show off before "It Makes No Difference". One can only dream about what they had planned for the finale.
After seeing them play Dondante and then paying tribute to Levon with It Makes No Difference I was in heaven. New Multitudes blew my mind today. Awesome weekend despite the late rains. Got Cary Clark Jr to autograph my ticket and Taylor Goldsmith to autograph my name tag. All of the artists really seemed to enjoy themselves. Great fest.

It Makes No Difference has always been one of my favorite songs by The Band. Wouldn't it be more of a tribute to Danko though?. I guess you could also call it a tribute to Richard Manuel.
