So I looked at Ticketbastard for two day passes (for RI Gal or anyone that actually needs one here)... no two day passes available right now. Day passes have moderate availability, but are more expensive doing two days separately than the two day together.
Do I need to add anyone else to the list of Infofolksters?
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
Yes yes it is.. Did my homework the other day. last year was the only sell out - days before. 2 day ended end of june, early July. Nff only sells 10K tickets - though they did petition to bump it to 20K this year but we have not seen if that was approved. 2 day tickets gone already...... I can not offer to give tickets, but if there are 1 or 2 peeps that are absolutely going, willing to buy the single day ticks, and just need a week or two to secure funds, i could get them and float it for a couple of weeks. Pm me. On the fence.. if they get the approval for the extra 20K, more two days will come out, however newport is on the conservative side. We shall sick Quacker on that research tomorrow.
Stand corrected--- we just rechecked... they petitioned for an extra 1000. Buy now if you want to go. Wow!! Quacker just read about who the board of directors is now for the revised non profit NFF. WOW!!
Wow. That makes sense over the direction the past few years, though. Good for them. That means you guys are looking at solid lineups for years to come.

The quote from Jim James in this article is beautiful. The man is a visionary along with the rest of the advisors. They definitely exemplify the modern vision of the festival.
Holy poop that is cool. I'm really going to have to make it one of these years
I'm actually considering ditching Roo for this. Is that crazy?
The lineup for NFF is always more focused on bands of my taste while Roo offers up other things that I don't usually know of ahead of time. I always find lots of bands I love at Roo but NFF always has like a dozen bands that I'm loving at the moment so I don't find it too crazy. This year it really is phenomenal. I'm a HUGE fan of the three top acts and there is so much goodness spread throughout this year. The dawes/deer tick/johnny corndawg inclusions guarantee some "Middle Brother" collabos.
Exactly. That lineup is GOLD. My major concerns right now are transportation and lodging costs. The other thing is that I've heard mixed things about the crowds.
