Mafia 40 is over! SFA, Mike D, and NBF were mafia Krunchykat was the inspector.
Kat was informed that NBF was mafia at the begining, and she guessed SFA on Night 2, but unfortunantly, she was whacked before she could share her info.

My mind is blown! Mike D was pushing hard to whack Kat, great call! We made the right choice but Lowerdeck finally convinced me he was the inspector in the third round. That's why I made that fake rant because I always have some sort of "meltdown" when I'm innocent and under fire. I needed to do it before Lowerdeck came out as inspector. Holy balls! BTW, I meant absolutely nothing I said in the "rant." It was just a ploy.
Lowerdeck, I'm impressed with your ability to find mafia but you gotta tone down the accusations and manipulation.
The townie as fake inspector thing was a tad overboard. I liked the making yourself a target to the mafia angle, to buy the inspector more time. It was just way to easy to defend myself because you actually helped vote people off, while leading people to believe you were the inspector. Then you just totally confused everyone in that last round. Even the Mafia.

LD . . . . I dunno, good reasoning, horrible execution. I hope you give it another shot in Mafia 41, but settle down a bit. I know you were trying to be a hero and guessed it right when you seemed to realize the townies were fucked. Whatever you were thinking when you called SFA, NBF and I as mafia is what you need to bring to the game, not a version of Dexter that has been regurgitated in a dorm room hallway after a long night of cheap, $hitty beer at the local bar by a fraternity pledge
Haha! FM and I were following and laughing our asses off. We knew that if SFA and MikeD were Mafia it was going to be a tough game for the Townies but when you throw NBF into that mix the Townies were screwed. It must have been a comforting feeling for the Mafia to have LD and Scrog naming Townies as Mafia with every post. It narrows down the field when you're looking for that first-round Inspector whack. Good job bad guys!
Basically coming in, my main goal was voting Scrog off in Round 1. (No further explanation needed.) Then I saw Bonnie basically copying Scrog, and I thought that was something to pay attention to.
Then I was watching patterns and figured out the whole SFA/MikeD thing. But still thinking one/both was helping Scrog/Bonnie/both.
Then came my SFA/MikeD/NBF prediction, realizing we townies were fucked. I wasn't 100% sold on NBF, but it just seemed the most logical conclusion. I was pretty confident that Noage, HEG, and EAP were innocent.
Hmm I was suspicious of Mike D (strongly) and SFA, but never really considered NBF. I never had a clear opinion of the third. If I had to choose, I would have chosen LD- but that is more out of frustration than real suspicion! Though, even if I hadn't been voted off I am not sure if I would have been vocal against anyone because I really have no idea what I'm talking about. I am not even sure if I remember what made me suspicious of Mike D and SFA!
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
Although this is fun and I am def up for the next round, I do have to say this game puts me outside of my comfort zone! I am EXTREMELY unconfrontational. I am passive.. gullible.. I rarelyyy gamble and have never filled out a bracket. Accusing people of things that I know nothing about, defending my choices or myself.. these are things that are quite foreign to me!

Glad you came and played! I think you get used to the confrontation after a few games. Plus, everyone at the end of the game knows it's all just in good fun.

How did I guess you SFA? I used the ESP quacker said I had in the last game. It's just slow to connect and download the info, you know, like dial up. It wasn't until the round was almost over before I figured you out.
In the first round I suspected Mike D purely on a gut feeling. I also suspected HEG because he and NBF were the only ones to not change their votes over and over. I took a gamble, guessed HEG and was wrong.
I was trying to wait to come out until I had two names because I knew that if I exposed NBF alone in round two the other two mafia would make it a point to distance themselves from her. Also, no one had done anything to even point to being aligned to her so it would have made finding them more difficult. If I had made it to the third round I planned on exposing NBF and SFA and letting everyone know that I strongly suspected Mike D as the third. After I sent my second guess to jhamm I started to worry that I was toast. I knew there were at least two very experienced mafia and that they were looking for the inspector. I tried to play like I would have if I was just a townie, but I guess being inquisitive made me a target.
All I wanna know is who decided to whack me in the first round and why.
That was my call. Just a shot in the dark really. You switched your vote bacl to the wrong person at the wrong time. After going through all the switches, I had you over Lowerdeck and Kat. Noage went on and off my radar.

That's the problem right there. You shouldn't come into the game looking to vote off anyone because you don't know their role. You then turned that towards another innocent person. It's not good for the game at all. Like you just experienced.

There is no denying this. But you could also argue, EAP voting for herself almost got one of us voted off in the first round. It also made everyone pretty sure that she was innocent. That didn't help the mafia at all.
But yeah, Lowerdeck was our best friend in the end.
We need to clamp down on round times and self votes. It's getting ridiculous.

We almost had MikeD voted off, if anything came out of the heated discussion between EAP and I, it was we were the two townies in the three-person run off. SFA you looked suspicious in the first round, you are lucky LD voted me off, because I was coming after you, you 'one stupid wanker'. LD, the Mafia loved you.
I wish now I hadn't changed my vote for Mike D. I did it out of pure frustration and because I was afraid I was going to lose it on y'all if I had to go thru another round of bickering.

Sorry I didn't get to participate more, although that seems to have worked to my advantage this time. I kept waiting for noage or EAP to call me out for being too quiet.
I'm going to sit out the next couple. I really have been super-busy at work, and it doesn't look to be letting up any time soon.
Unless LLL is back, I'm sitting this one out. I've been wanting to sit out for a couple games now but signed up hoping we would be mafia together... Or I would be Inspector, while she is mafia. I just need either revenge or the two of us to systematically kill all of you.
I might be up to ref again. I like all the new players signing back up. I'd rather ref over having Duddits do it. He's only played twice. I played like 7 times before I was ref.
