Literally just got into them recently, was expecting them to be more electro-sounding so I was obviously floored. I think they'd be a good choice for the crazy rock band late-night set, a la Gogol Bordello last year and GWAR in 2010.
I saw them last December and they were really good. I'd definitely be down to see them again. They're one of those bands that sounds much better live than in record (especially because they make so much noise for just 3 guys).
Bump. Was listening to Gloss Drop on my walk to class while day-dreaming about a big late night blowout with every one going crazy to Ice Cream. Man... i've got Roo fever way too early this year.

Let me assure you guys, after seeing them at Moogfest last year, these guys are absolutely going to DESTROY at Bonnaroo this year. They are going to crush people's souls. When they play "Atlas," it's completely miraculous how, every time it seems like the song could not possibly get heavier, they take it to another level of heavy. It keeps seeming like the song could not possibly get more powerful or intense and then they keep kickin' it up a notch. One of the five best songs I've ever seen performed live, easily.
I reeeeeeeeeeeally hope they get a late night, but they'll be a can't miss wherever they play. If you miss their set, you will regret it. The ideal scenario would be a Battles>FlyLo late night on Friday after Radiohead, but that might be asking a little too much.
Yeah they closed with Sundome when I saw them. Their tour is over now so I could see them going into practice and trying to work out a new set (hopefully with some old tracks too) but I'm sure they'll still play it, people went nuts.
i remember missing them in 08. i think it might have been for mgmt but im not 100% sure. either way i will not be missing them again this year. seriously though why is the drummers cymbals up that high? there is no way that is comfortable. As as drummer, I cannot imagine having to reach like 3 feet above my head just to hit one
And instead of saying all of your goodbyes - let them know you realize that life goes fast - It's hard to make the good things last-you realize the sun doesn't go down - It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round

Cage the Elephant did the same when I saw them back in '09. It's so odd. I'm a guitarist, but I dabble in the drums, and still don't how that'd be comfortable...
