Damn them putting tix on sale at the same time as "THE WALL" goes on sale I will have to take nosebleeds all around it looks like but will be there! Can someone reccomend a good hotel in Atlanta that can tolerate the likes of me?
1-1-12 Bassnectar NYE SHOW! 1-21-12 G. Love and Special Sauce 3-1-12 Radiohead 3-9-12 Experience Hendrix 5-15-12 Jack White @ The Ryman 6-7-12 Bonnaroo 6-19-12 Roger Waters presents "THE WALL" 7-7-12 Ringo Starr's 72nd Birthday Party Extravaganza at the Ryman
I probably will if I can swing it. For a little background, Abra was going to get me tickets for a Radiohead show back in the day for my birthday, I think. They sold out super fast, and she felt bad but I said it was okay and I would catch them next tour. That was their last tour before their huge break in touring, so I am extra motivated to check them out this tour.
Money is always tight but can always be made it. Just budget a little. You'll figure it out, I'm sure.
lono, I'm in the same boat. We stayed somewhere close to the Philips several years ago for BoH NYE as everyone around me was spread'heads walking to the shows there.. I can't for the life of me remember the name.
I will be at the ATL show, come Hell or high water. Actually, for the latter, I'd either steal a boat or show up to the show lookin' like a drowned rat...that's how badly I want to be there.
As for lodging near the arena, I can vouch for the overall awesomeness of the CNN Omni. We stayed there (me, MikeD & Popsicle Sarah) last month and it was very nice.
Can someone reccomend a good hotel in Atlanta that can tolerate the likes of me?
No
A Friday for your honesty! I am an asshole at Hotels I steal remote batteries instead of towels I like to think of the chaos left in my wake they have yet to barcode batteries like towels and washcloths. I am helping America to exercise like Slim Goodbody!
And on a lighter note will this now eclipse the Roger Waters thread? I am all down for both at Bonnaroo but the Roger deal looks like a dead horse. And the Radiohead schedule is nowhere around Bonnaroo. Two of the choiciest morsels taken from our plate what will we be indulged with now? Though Radiohead said they would add more dates later and tour on and off through the year in the original article I read about a month ago. Bonnaroo could still technically pull off some weird shit. But I will put stock in my tickets I do got! And I tell you knowing for sure you are seeing radiohead is better then speculating another two months! WERD! 2006 veteran BABY!

One thing to note abotu Philips is that it is built very much up instead of out. The nosebleed seats aren't as far back from the floor but man, are they high.
