Radiohead is definitely the best band ever. I was listening to a b-side playlist on the way to and back from Atlanta tonight. About 3 hours and not one dud. No one else has that many great songs that are not on albums. Also I'm reading a book called Present Tense and in a really early interview they kind of hinted that Jonny is gay. Was I the last one to now this? I've never heard that before.
Maybe, but he's been with the same woman for thirty years.
Interesting. I actually don’t know anything about his private life. In this interview in 93 he told the interviewer not to tell the sex of his partner and I thought that was an odd thing.

Radiohead being the best ever is a fine take. They’re my favorite but I think Beatles are kind of unbeatable in that regard. Get like 4 beers in me and play Weird Fishes and I’ll probably agree with you.
I’ve always said Radiohead’s my number one followed by The Beatles. And it’s only because RH are of my time - I’ve grown up listening to them and catching them live, so I have that extra experiential element with them that I don’t have with The Beatles.
2 years and they'll be working on an album. Just have to let all the solo juices flow and run their course; everything was delayed because of COVID.
Edit: I think there's always a chance they put it down, but they say that after every record and then end up picking it back up. I know this is from March, but this seems optimistic to me:
Selway said: “We have got together and we’re talking about future plans, but in the immediate future we’ve all got other projects which we’d all like to see through properly. There’s a collective desire to make music in some form or other amongst the five of us. We all really value that musical relationship, and that’s been there for 38 years. It remains really important to us.”
Theyre not done. Covid kept em apart obviously and its just not the right time. But its coming. Lp10 and then itll be over though.
I mean as much as I miss them having new music out and touring it is still stressful af going to see them and buying tickets. Now its gonna be a whole other situation with a bunch of literal kids wanting to go see them.
Imagine if they announce it’s their final tour. That’s gonna make seeing them again way more difficult.
I also wonder if they’re ever gonna play stadiums here. We have them headlining festivals and playing basketball arenas, but they haven’t jumped to football stadiums, which they could still sell out.

Radiohead are still much younger than a lot of acts out there. If Thom wasn’t doing anything, I’d be a bit concerned but the passion to perform and make music is still there.
They wouldn't sell out stadiums. Maybe in a couple big markets, with soft resale.
even something like MSG, one MetLife show is like 4x the people, no chance
yeah i mean, to be fair, they did play 4 nights at MSG on the last tour, but it's not just about the number of attendees. I'd feel pretty safe in saying at least a decent amount of that crowd saw multiple shows, and speaking for myself at least, I'd much rather buy a ticket to one of four shows in a smaller space than one of one in a giant stadium.

what kids, what the hell are you talking about
Somebody didnt notice Creep getting popular on tik tok. Also it was in Guardians Of The Galaxy.

Wont happen here. Theyve done shed tours before and sold em out. I saw them at Foro Sol in Mexico City and that was 55,000 a night. They hadnt been there in 15 years so there was demand.
They had to play a stadium last tour due to the Manchester bombing but outside of that its been mostly open field type places when it came to not playing an arena or an outdoor amp. Would be cool if they went back to that sort of thing. And if they decided to play Red Rocks again it would be a blood bath.

I get anxious about them deciding to tour again because I feel like they’re the type of people to where if just one member doesn’t want to do it any more or passes away they’ll never perform without the original lineup.

I think that’s what’s happening right now. I think it’s Ed. He’s the only one not doing anything. He was doing EOB then stopped when covid hit. I’m sure he’ll come back though.
